We chose this motel because it is close to the railway station and we weren't hiring a car until we left Christchurch. We walked to it from the station with all our luggage, only taking about 15 minutes. It's a small place on a busy road, but we weren't bothered by any traffic noise (and I'm a very light sleeper.)... Fantastic place to stay with very helpful owners. The rooms were very modern, spacious, clean and tidy with full kitchen facilities. This Motel is new or newly renovated, in a nice location close to shopping malls and the kiwirail station for Coastal Pacific or Trans Alpine. The lady owning the place offered to drive us to the station and in general the people there were very friendly and ready to help us. The only minus is the lack of WiFi internet.... More

My wife and I chose Christchurch for the destination of our trip. This place gave us a last night sleep in New Zealand, comfortable and warm, especially the bed. The owner and all the staff were so friendly and warm. This place gave us a perfect end for our beautiful journey.

We booked here for the location... Taking 7am train. Station is a couple of minutes away. We got here early and were given our room as soon as it was clean... Around noon. Rooms are v clean, with well equipped kitchenette.

We stayed 2 nights organised, attending the Glenn Frey concert only a short 10 minute walk to the CBS Canterbury Arena. The accommodation was excellent, roomy, quiet and extremely comfortable. Fully self contained and close to the city centre. The owners were extremely obliging and I would stay there again. Overall excellent value for money.
