I stayed here while on business and now insist anyone in our office travelling to Blenheim stays at 171. Extremely clean, comfortable and warm, a minutes walk from town and with wonderful hosts who make you feel so welcome. Highly recommend.

The service we got here was above and beyond. We had a birthday and a wedding anniversary and were helped with celebrations for both. The one-bedroom unit we had was warm, quiet and comfortable. Good motel in central location. We appreciated the friendly service and extra help from the manager in locating accommodation for us in the next town we were going to.

Booked by phone the day before we stayed and the manager altered a couple of other bookings to fit us in. Excellent info and very friendly staff. Location is good. Town centre is a 5-10 min walk. Would highly recommend for motel-going travellers.

We stayed 3 nights in March, in a 2 bed unit upsatirs and a 1 bed unit downstairs. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, great location - but best of all were the friendly hosts Ian and Chris who are genuinely interested in their guests and couldn't have been more helpful. Clean, tidy and comfortable, pretty surroundings and a nice quick walk to town. But it's the very generous, flexible hosts prepared to go the extra mile for their guests that really make 171 stand out from the rest. Ian and Chris were all help and smiles - nothing was ever a problem.

Had a 2 bedroom unit on the upper floor. Nice modern fit-out. Bathroom was very nice. Beds good quality and comfortable for those with bad backs. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
