I stayed one night here on the way back to christchurch. The lake just beside the resort. Very nice view. The famous Japanese restaurant is 1 min walk. But it is not as good as I expect. The owner is very nice. You can have 50mb free wifi.

Both my wife and I loved our stay at this place. The resort is over looking the lake and you can see the lake as you come out of your room. The location is ideal, right in the middle of the small town. A minute away are the restaurants and coffee shops. Loved it there.....

Tekapo is really humming. The local hot pools are a great addition to the town. I've stayed at Lake Tekapo Scenic Resort about 6 times, it has nice rooms, a central location and great facilities.

We stayed in an upper studio. It exceeded our expectations. The view is great; the staff friendly; the room particularly clean and well equipped (with extra towels, dishes, refrigerator, and such). It is centrally located within the village, and therefore very convenient to restaurants. The staff were helpful with tourist information.
