The Eco Lodge is perfect for an upscale overnight hike. They provide tasty vegetarian meals, beds, and very nice facilities. The home-brewed beer is very good. The shared bathrooms were clean. You have beautiful Nydia Bay almost to yourself and the hike, while not the best in New Zealand, is very good.

The individual bedrooms are in small cottages dotted around the property with shared bathrooms and kitchen... More

We walked and it was wonderful not to have to carry sleeping bags with us. The hostel was started by a couple who wanted to use it to... More
