We stayed for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon tour around the South Island. The room we stayed in was lovely and very clean. June and Murray were lovely hosts: friendly and welcoming whilst allowing us as much time as we wanted to relax in our room. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

This was a super farmstay and the hosts incredibly kind and welcoming (like most NZers we met). Its great to get a different perspective of NZ and see a bit of sheep farming life in a small community (June took us on a tour of the farm which was really interesting). We stayed in the largest suite which had its... More

Murray and June welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home in the remote Catlins area and immediately we felt at home. Our ensuite bedroom at the back of the house was large and comfortable, spotlessly clean and had a patio and decking overlooking their lovely garden. We enjoyed two wonderful nights here, breakfasts were fantastic and June's baking was superb... More

Had a lovely one night stay at the waterside house with hosts June and Murray. They were so friendly and welcoming towards me and made me fell like one of the family. I was staying for the rugby world cup and joined the couple in the evening to watch the matches with them in the living room. June kindly offered... More

A highlight of our NZ trip. Murray was an excellent host and we learnt a great deal from him about life in the Catlins and the challenges facing farmers. The room was splendid, clean, bright and airy with direct access to the lovely garden. We drove out to see him and his sons at work on his sheep farm, and... More

We stayed with June & Murray for 2 nights at the end of our 3-week New Zealand vacation. Upon arriving, we were welcomed into their home with tea and scones and lovely conversation. The breakfasts offered a lot of variety and everything was incredibly fresh. Our room, which was in the back of the house, was spacious and the bathroom... More

A hidden gem in the magnificent Catlins-Great accommodations in a wonderful setting with beautiful gardens surrounding the homestead. June and Murray were great hosts- very helpful, friendly and hospitable. It was enjoyable staying at a working sheep and deer farm. Good breakfasts!

June and Murray are great hosts - lively and interesting. The Catlins are worth including in your NZ itinerary and this is most definitely the place to stay! Shortly after we arrived, we enjoyed tea and scones with June and Murray while they told us about the area and their farm. They then recommended the excellent local restaurant for dinner... More

This is one of the nicest and friendliest farm stays you are likely to find in New Zealand. June & Murray treat you as one of the family, and can't do enough to help. This is a working farm, and you have the opportunity to see it at work if you want to. June has also spent many years cultivating... More
