Booked a room for two people. On arrival found that the place was locked up and that there was a procedure to go through to get in. Reception closes at something like 6.30pm The access door is not labeled - so one has to do a discovery exercise to get in. The arrival notice said the booking is for 1... More

Stayed here for a week in a one bed room apartment with small balcony opening onto The Terrace. Bedroom opened onto lounge area with sliding door that enclosed it so it was quiet to sleep in. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Good secure basement parking with access from road at the back. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked a 2 bedroom and a single bedroom apartment for two nights . Pre paying - huge mistake. Our apartment was not serviced following our first night until -after repeated requests - about 3 or 4 pm the next day, We remade our own beds using the same linen. Blown light bulbs were not replaced despite repeated requests. The... More

We booked the Atrium at the last minute, and because it was cheap on www.lastminute.com. The location was great (although I found Wellington's steep hills and stairs hardwork). The hotel was not great, it was more the cumulative impact than any one single thing: when we arrived one of the two lifts wasn't working, the car park was extremely hard... More

The faulty towers of New Zealand. I make no apologies for saying this, but I thought I would try the Atrium as the had a cheap rate online, however I moved out after one night and moved to another property in Wellington. I read the other reviews and management replies were always excuses or sometimes arguments with feedback, or we... More

The theory behind the structure of this hotel was a nice idea, but in practise, the big gaping void inside the rooms, they call an 'atrium' is just a void that reverberates every single sound anyone makes. You will be woken by every single guest coming in or out of the hotel. My room also had doors that did not... More

We stayed at the Atrium for 5 nights. The room was incredibly stuffy & noisy. We were on the 9th floor & the balcony doors opened up onto a freeway. The bathroom was tired & in need of an overhaul. The kitchen was clean & well equipped apart from the oven knobs not working properly. The main room had two... More

Our 4 night stay in Wellington was not as restful as we had hoped. Quest self contained units have been a perfect solution for us in the past- as diet restrictions require that we prepare most of our own food whilst away. The problem with 'The Atrium' is THE ATRIUM! There is no air-conditioning in the room so if you... More

You get what you pay for. The after hours checkin process, the staff at the front desk, and the location are great. Car parking is available in the building (extra $20/day) but you'd want a small car. Gym was closed during my stay so couldn't use that facility. However, the building design (rooms grouped around a central, roofed, atrium) means... More

Hi There, Thank you for taking time to place feedback, I am sorry to hear the stay wasnt satisfactory. The Atrium does have an echoed noise, but the building itself has a strict noise policy and an on call manger 24 hours. our after hours service can be contacted any time and noise problems will be dealt with by a... We booked a two bedroom unit, on the 9th floor, initially the maitre'de could barely understand my english, the room was on level 9, nice foyer and lift, room was awful it smelled like a cross between curry and cheap perfume. I had clean dishes left for me to put away in the dishwasher, not vacummed, staines on the walls... More
