This is a luxurious, new, modern, funky, expensive B&B right on the water. But they don't quite get it! It is a contradiction - a five star building, with the cheapest microwave possible, pressed steel teaspoons, cheap glasses, terrible instant coffee (a Nespresso machine is a no brainer in a place like this). The place was COLD. They had had... More

From the moment we came to Villa Melina we felt welcome. Fiona and Daniele greeted us and escorted us to our room where there was a plate of cheese and biscuits waiting and we were given a glass of wine. The room was lovely with the most fantastic view over the harbour through floor to ceiling windows and a lovely... More

In the quiet suburb of Seatoun you will find a nice modern villa ion the seaside. The multinational hosts are quite friendly. The view from my room was direct on the sea, but he usual winds of Wellington will not allow you to stay long on the balcony. However Seatoun is close to one hour bus ride away from downtown... More

Awesome view from my room large-as-the-wall window. Sincere thanks, I really appreciated to stay at Villa Melina Boutique. My best spent money during my adventure travel in New Zealand. The perfect break from cheap and dirty hostels to pamper yourself. A must stop. Very good location, I rented a car and it is close to the airport and to the... More

5 stars is not enough to give to Villa Melina. I have stayed at that B&B 2 times. The first time was in 2007, and the second time was in 2010. I love that it is cosy, elegant, close to the beach, quiet, has a huge heated pool and a sauna. Wonderfully attentive owners and staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful rooms,... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Villa Melina. I was a little unhappy to start with that they charged full stay at booking. The room was very nice except the windows were dirty ruining an excellent view. After checkin we saw the owners very little. In their defense they'd just had a new baby, however, they were home and could... More
