This is in a great location and really family friendly. We booked a poolside unit for ourselves and our three kids for five nights in January. When we arrived we found the owners were "away for a few days" and Jason's mum was running the show. She was extremely helpful and pleasant despite being run off her feet. The accommodation... More

First, I want to be clear that Aloha is definitely a basic, no-frills, self-catering motel. It doesn't pretend to be anything else. That said, the experience is anything but budget. Rooms are very big and spotless. The owners were extremely helpful (grest tips on what to do/see) and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome... More

Our family stayed here for 2 nights. This motel is slightly out of town and very family orientated. Booking was completed easily over the phone. Check in fast and efficient. 2 bedroom unit by the pool had everything we needed. The bottom family units aren't "wow" units but are very clean and have everything you needed.being right by the pool... More

We arrived with some stunning views on our drive and it was made even nicer by the hotel. The rooms are what you need and clean, and what made it even nicer was the warm welcome and helpfulness of everybody. The area is amazing and should we come back to New Zealand we would return here thanks. More

We stayed for 2 nights at Aloha. We had a spectacular view of the bay from our balcony: the sunrises over the water were breathtaking. Staff were quite pleasant. I only wish we had enough time to stay a little longer as we didn't get a chance to see the "hole in the rock" or have a swim in the... More

We stayed at the Aloha In October 2011. We had originally looked to stay in the Town but consider ourselves fortunate to have found this Motel on the outskirts. It is only a short walk to the town but the hill may be too much for some people to walk up and down. The advantage of being at the top... More

Excellent place. Stacey and Jason are enthusiastic and extremely helpful. The price is right, the rooms are big clean and spacious and the location is excellent. We were cooking dinner in our room one night, and the rotary club was meeting on the other side of the motel in the conference room. After the meeting Stacey brought some banana cream... More

We travel on a tight budget and are always looking for a good deal and Aloha didn't let us down. Positively one of the best hotels we have stayed in and the first impressions were wonderful. The staff (sorry didn't get her name) was efficient, polite and kind. Informative about the town and even gave us some free Feijoas! The... More

We spent one night here, and the room was quite spacious. After our Auckland experience of a kitchenette about 80cm by 45cm, this kitchen was unnecessarily huge. The full size fridge was appreciated as we froze bricks for our cooler each night. The QS bed was so soft my husband slept on the couch half the night. The pool looked... More
