We spent two nights at the Allegra House. The view is spectacular. We had a rented car so it was easy to get up the hill. Without a car it would be a rather steep climb. My fiancee and I stayed there for a couple of days in early January and enjoyed everything about the place. It's up the hill though and takes 10 minutes to walk from the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also nice. I will surely stay there again. Saeed More

A great place to stay with a beautifull view. Heinz and Brita have great tips for the boat tours, short walks and restaurants in Paihia. The breakfast was great. Most B&B's give you toast with jelly, but Heinz and Brita provide much more such as cheese, meats, eggs and even a honey-lemon drink when you have a sore throat. More

Billed as a self-contained bed and breakfast on its accurate but slightly dated website, it fails to fully convey what a find this place really is. The allegra house is but a five minutes walk from the wtarefront but resting up on the hill it has the most wonderful view of the bay of islands.
