Unless you realised that Waiora was there in advance, you could drive past and never know what you had missed! Set in amoungst the native bush, the setting was fantastic, sitting out in the open air spa pool, listening to the birds in the trees was yet another highlight. Have stayed in many places in Paihia/Waitangi in the past, but Waiora is definitely the best by far. It is spacious, clean, well-appointed, private, great location, and all set in lovely native bush on papakainga. We stayed for two nights exploring the area and will definitely stay here again, if it's not all booked out!
