The Landing is the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Jill and Allan were very welcoming, provided an excellent service and provided lots of information on the local area. We stayed in the studio room, which included a very very comfortable bed, small kitchenette (although the main kitchen is available at any time for you to use). Tea and coffee... More

Perfect spot to enjoy a few relaxing days with your loved one. Jill and Allan are wonderful hosts, offering lots of recommendations and tips for our stay in Napier. Allan was kind enough to drive us to our restaurant for dinner which we very much appreciated! We stayed in the Bayview room which was lovely, comfortably furnished with light and... More

So what makes 'The Landing' a 5/5 B&B? For me it must be excellent in: 1) the basics, 2) the hospitality and 3) the extras. 1) The Basics My wife and I stayed in the 'Lookout Room', very comfortable bed, great bathroom, restful and tastful colours, flat screen tv, biscuits tea & coffee all included and a decent hair dryer.... Spent three nights in the Lookout Room in early January 2012 and as the others have said the property does indeed have a spectacular location which it makes the most of. The appointment of the rooms fits in with the spectacular location and the hosts are exceptional with nothing being too much trouble. Well deserved number one ranking for B&Bs... More

What a find this place was! We spent 2 nights here, in the Bay View room, just before New Year and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately the weather was decidedly grim during our stay (the only thing that Jill was unable to sort out for us!!), but coming back to the Landing for a wonderful shower, a glass of beautiful Sauvignon... Set high on Bluff Hill overlooking the bay, The Landing was indeed the height of luxury. We stayed in the Bayview suite with a spectacular view - what a setting! The accommodation was of the highest order, a spacious bedroom impressively furnished with impeccable taste. The bathroom was sumptuous, beautifully appointed, with an impressive shower and a plentiful supply of... More

We spent 3 nights in the Bayview Suite as part of our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier with our time there. Jill was the most friendly, welcoming, insightful hostess possible, and we just felt so at home at the Landing. The bed was so comfortable, the room and views were spectacular, and the large bathroom with tub was luxurious.... More

We stayed at The Landing as part of our honeymoon in New Zealand. We can honestly say that we were blown away by the treatment that Jill and Alan gave us from the first minute. They truly went out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The place itself, is stunning. Set... More

We had the most amazing stay at The Landing, it really is a 5 Star experience. The rooms are fantastic (particularly the top room with the view across the bay), beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and there some really love touches like home made biscuits and a bottle of wine on arrival. Oh, and the most comfortable bed I've slept on... More
