A lovely and helpful lady advised us on a unit with a king-size bed for my tall husband, the possibility to use their laundry and a wonderful restaurant close by as a choice of three. It was only a short walk to Gisborne's city centre, which was bright and inviting. The Motor Inn's location in the harbour area was quiet,... More

The Pacific Harbour Motor Inn is a typical NZ motel that offers rooms with ample space and friendly staff for a decent price. It is located adjacent to the wharf area with nearby walking/jogging trail. My only complaint is that my room had a lot of windows with Venetian blinds that did not adequately block outside lights during the night.... More

Have just returned from 2 nights staying at the Pacific Harbour Motor Inn. Great, friendly service and obliging owners. The motel is located overlooking the beautiful port area; at the same time very close to the city centre with nice cafe's and restaurants. This is definitely the place to stay in Gisborne - so handy. We spent two nights at the Motel. It is situated just a short walk from the centre of town with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Our upstairs room overlooked the harbour. The room was a good size, had lots of natural light and a balcony with table & chairs. In addition to the queen size bed there was a sofa,... More

Spent a good length of time at this motel and was very pleased. I'd go back anytime. The room was quiet and private, with its own little balcony that got all the morning sun. The room was clean and well presented and had good cooking facilities (though no stove). It could still be a good motel anywhere though. What makes... More

We stayed two nights on the ground floor in this modern, clean motel with river views. Loved our private courtyard and the friendly efficient service. Cooked breakfast excellent, good value and delivered at requested time. Enjoyed our walks down the riverside to the sea and also over the disused rail-bridge to the excellent restaurants and bar. The shower is great,... More

My wife and I stayed here one night during a tour of the East Cape. The hotel is modern and well appointed. Our room (upstairs) was large, comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom. It had a small balcony that overlooked the central motor court. There is no elevator. The couple who run the place are very friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed here just for one night and it was a rather pleasant stay in a well equipped room with 1 bedroom. The biggest pros – excellent location within walking distance of restaurants and the city center. The biggest cons – no air condition, that was a real problem in +30 C (but anyway, air conditions is still a rare... More

We, too, only stayed one night here as we were just passing through. Nice hotel, wonderfully managed and beautiful room. Would definitely stay again. More
