We stayed at Oaklands for three days at the start of our journey through NZ in December and again for one night in January at the end therof. Both times the facilities were very good, spacious and welcoming. Its situate right on the airport shuttle and bus routes, making it ideal for backpackers. I'd definitely recommend Oaklands.
