My husband and i along with another couple stayed here for 2 nights on a recent 4WD trip along the Gibb River Road. Charnley River Station provides a dinner, bed and breakfast option in rondavels (circular huts with walls made of insect-screening), a dormitory hut or camping. For the expense of the rondavel option you may be disappointed if you're expecting drinks and canapés at sunset and a 4-star experience. “Highlight of our seven-week trip”

This is the real Australia - remote, different and intensely beautiful. Two fairly basic but comfortable rondavels have been built in the middle of a vast cattle station 40 km north of the Gibb River Road. There is also a campsite.
