We are a family of 5 from Ireland who used this motel as a base while doing a road trip and sight seeing trip all around Melbourne. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. It was handy into the city center with trams, buses and train all very close. There was a big park across the way.The beauty... More

On arrival you are greated by such warm people who have nothing but advice and knowledge of melbourne, and we wanted to stay longer and they were more then happy to accomadate us. The rooms where cleaned daily and if you needed anything it was given to you with a smile, we were there a week and it is our... More

I don't know what I was expecting. I travel a lot and often stay in mid-range accommodation. So I guess my expectations are based on experience. In general, hotel and motel staff try to make you feel welcome and like you would like to come again. The parkville motel works on a different logic. They seem to think their business... More

If you're looking for somewhere economical to stay (less than $100), close to the city, then the Parkville is perfect. The ground level unit style is a blast from the past and I don't think much has changed here since the 70s. The beauty of this is that you can park right outside your room, although a small car is... It was value for money. Cheap, but clean and tidy with more than enough room for the 5 of us in the suite. Close to transport and to the city. More

We had a wedding in Melbourne, so a family member booked a number of rooms at the Parkville Motel. After reading previous posts on Tripadvisor I was extremely anxious about staying here. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Obviously it's not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect anything flash. But the room was clean and that is probably... More

Our first negative experience was when we heard the staff arguing between themselves. We settled on the knowledge it was grand final weekend and other motels were booked heavily for that weekend. Bad choice. Yes, you get a microwave and toaster but no crockery or utensils. what the! Our major complaint is that we booked the studio room for the... More

It is unfortunate that you decided to write a review on tripadvisor as i am not sure you are clear on what twin share means. You signed a form when you checked in and also on your wotif sheet that says "Our published room rate is based on 2 persons in 1 bed. Twin share OR 3rd person will incur... More

Our son stayed here and found the Motel to be of opposite to the negative review by the anonymous person who has totally reviewed the Motel incorrectly. The operators were very helpful and obliging, and we felt good knowing he was with people who were concerned about their patrons. The Motel was very neat and clean. The location was well... More

I can normally shrug off negative experiences and forget about them, but this one scarred me forever. Right after we checked in, I went to use the toilet and found that someone had already taken a dump in it. That someone also didn’t flush. The contents were staring back at me. Since I was the first person (since check in)... More

THE WORST MOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. The rooms were dirty and boiling hot despite it being normal weather while we were there. I suspect the decor hasn't been updated since they opened. But the worst part was the arrogant and nosy owner who was practically spying on me and my friends while we stayed there. She made completely... More
