We live in melbourne but love to come to this hotel especially if you are going to the football or local sports. Easy walk into town and across the road from the park. Fantastic if you arrive on Saturday afternoon as there is a bit of free overnight parking on the street. Rooms are very clean and although not especially... More

The newly refurbished rooms at the Mercure are very good. The bed was very comfortable. We had a 'privilege' room which included a few little extras like a balcony overlooking the gardens, a Nespresso coffeemaker, T2 teabags, bottle of Fiji water, bathrobes and slippers etc. Customer service was good, gladly gave us a late checkout. We will definitely stay again.

Terrific location if wanting to attend MCG, Tennis Centre and AAMI Park (as we did). Pros: Great view from balcony Fantastic location Ample choices on buffet menu Nice décor in rooms, particularly the bedheads with their Melbourne scene themes Comfy bed and pillows Efficient check in and check out Lack of noise from street Cons: Nowhere to hang wet towels... The hotel staff were courteous and efficient the rooms are clean and well appointed. The hotel is well located and close to where I work when visiting Melbourne and close to many Melbourne restaurants . It is a mid range hotel clean ,well appointed and comfortable for the price point. I would recommend the hotel to others.

We stayed here to be close to Rod Laver Arena for a Bruce Springsteen Concert. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are still in very good condition. Good size rooms but a but found it a bit dusty. We ate here for both dinner and breakfast and were pleased with the food quality.... More

Have just spent 2 nights staying at this hotel. I had a room on the sixth floor with garden views. It was not a large room and the bathroom was very small. But it did have everything that you needed. The curtains have good blockout and you can hardly hear any road noise. The beds are also comfortable. A slight hiccup... More

The hotel is exceptionally well located being on the free tram route to explore Melbourne and close the sports precinct. Staff are welcoming and hekpful. But the accommodation was disappointing. We stayed in a ":Privilege Room ", the best they have, but it was small, with an uncomfortable bed, a more uncomfortable couch and perhaps the smallest ensuite I have... More

Average city hotel. Good location, clean, room rates not cheap excluding breakfast, expensive parking and internet fees. I will try another hotel next time as there are plenty of choices in the city. Accor really had to something to differentiate their hotels.

Staff were good, amenities ok. I believe understaffed which just made the stay lose its special quality.eg waiting too long to check in/out.Restaurant understaffed for breakfast; had to wait for tables, glasses, to clean tables etc. I don't blame staff, management should lift their game.
