“cheap, basic accommodation”

If you are looking for a cheap, basic no-frills place to stay then this is it. Accommodation was clean but very basic, however as a plus, there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Structure problems, leaking bathroom sink, broken toilet roll holder, light fixture hanging by one wire only, both bedside cupboards broken, door to wardrobe dropped. Large hole in ceiling above toilet. Shower head streamed from many directions. Then there was the bed - filthy quilt cover, unwashed sheets. Had to buy own bedding to use. The first room smelled so strong of deodoriser and had weird hand prints in some sort of greasy substance on wall above bed. We asked to move to another room, because once you have paid there is no refund. It didn't smell as much, but you could see where some graffiti had been painted on wall. When we pulled bed... More
