The studio room we booked was attached to the main house, this was a huge disappointment until we were informed no one had rented the main house so we would have privacy (unless the owner decided to stay). The front door opened into a pokey kitchenette, where we immediately noticed a post-it note with a “no noise” at any time rule. It felt very limiting and confined. We were offered two small Lindt balls left on a towel rack being used as a barricade to prevent entry to the spare room. The spa adjacent to main house, continuously tripped out and had to be reset by walking to front of property, not ideal! The studio didn’t have easy access to gardens or property, this view was reserved for main house guests. The bbq area was overlooking a dull brick carport. In my opinion the high price charged did not suit the accommodation provided.

I recently stayed here for 3 nights with 8 friends. 4 couples & a single. The house was large & clean. It was easy to find - that red letterbox instruction was great. The location was beautiful & so peaceful. It had a spa which we didn't use but would be great if the weather was warmer. It had a wood heater at one end & an open fire (which we didn't use) at the other. There was a pool table . It had most things we needed. The negatives were it was very overpriced we thought. For what we paid we were expecting a lot more. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice house. When we arrived the house was freezing and the central heating didn't kick in for nearly 2 hours. There was hardly any wood to use in the fire. We had to go into town to buy some & my husband bought a bootload with him on the Saturday. The property had an abundance of dead wood lying around. We'd have thought the wood box would have been full.

We stayed here recently with our 3 children in the 3 bedroom house. The house was exactly as it appeared in the photos on the website. There were 2 living areas (one with a pool table which our children thoroughly enjoyed) and 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom and adjoining ensuite are huge. All the beds were very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The weekend we were there was really cold, however the house heated up quickly with central heating and the lovely log fire, and the electric blankets were a real treat. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking equipment allowing us to cook dinner a couple of nights. The Mount Macedon pub does really great meals too. The property and outlook are so peaceful and relaxing, you really feel like you are away from everything even though it is not too far from Melbourne. Our children loved the trampoline and exploring the gardens, kangaroo spotting at dusk. There were canoes to use on the lake but it was a cold weekend when we were there so no one was keen to go in. Would highly recommend.

Friendly welcome; lovely countryside and beautiful accommodation. Sitting on the patio watching blue wrens was a treat. The breakfast was delicious and enough for a working man. We can't recommend this B & B too highly.

We have just come home from Adrienne's and it is the most relaxing, private and peaceful getaway I have had in a long time. Even our 12mth old kelpie was welcome. Large and tastefully decorated room. Comfortable bed. Relaxing hot tub. Picturesque scenery. Daisy the gorgeous lab. Breakfast feast on both mornings. There is no doubt in my mind we will be back and will even bring our 11yr old daughter. She will fall in love with Adrienne's as much as we did.

Lovely B and B, great scenery and amazing breakfast. Hot tub was relaxing, especially during sunset when the kangaroos came down to graze. Adrienne was a great hostess and made us feel welcome, but at the same time respected our privacy. Overall great experience and cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed here overnight for our wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we only wish it has been for more than one night! The outdoor spa was very relaxing, the brekky in the morning was delicious and the surroundings were beautiful. We'll be back for sure, but this time we'll bring the kids, they'll love Daisy the dog who lives at the retreat.
