Stayed there on business on the 13th May, stayed there a few times in the past, and I always come back to it. Rooms are clean, tidy and modern. One minute walk to the harbour and restaurants. Perfect place to stay

Stayed two nights with Bed & Breakfast. Nice newly-refurbished corner room with fantastic views of the Hobart harbor. Easy walking distance to restaurants and sites. Good service. Good breakfast. Didn't have time to use the indoor pool but it looked adequate. Only negative was the fitness room which was below mediocre. Would go back.

The Grand Chancellor is superbly located on the waterfront overlooking the harbour in Hobart. The docks are a 5 minute stroll and make for a fascinating meander among the fishing boats. The hotel was renovated 7 years ago and while a little old fashioned, clean, crisp and comfortable. Stayed for 3 nights in April and was mostly very pleased. We had a lovely room with great views across the harbour and out to sea. The reception staff were all very helpful and took trouble to answer questions and provide good advice. Dinner in the restaurant was also good. The whole experience was a bit let down by breakfast... We stayed here for one night last week. Check-in was very efficient and professional. Was given a complimentary room upgrade (larger room and on a higher floor) and late check out request happily granted. Rooms are very clean and of superior condition.
