This was our last stay following a 3 week car trip "down under". This residential neighborhood was very quaint. Front gardens full of roses. Grande Vue was re-landscaping the front while we were there so am sure the new English garden should be awesome. Adequate parking. Easy walk to several nice restaurants, but they don't start serving dinner until 6PM....

We stayed there for four nights and loved every minute of it. The property is great, centrally located, with good views. The room was very spacious with spa bath, nice furnishings, clean and comfortable. The added touch was the the owners baked muffins every evening and left them in the room for us. There is no restaurant in the property...

From the exterior this boutique colonial-style accommodation looked like a fine place to stay. There was a private parking space right in front and there could be more parking spaces around. In the lobby we were welcomed by the pleasant flowery and calming scent and the marbled interior gave a luxurious touch to this place. The hosts were very friendly...

We stayed 3 nights in the Chambre Queen Room on a Flaming Re Hot deal from Wotif. While we did not have views of the Derwent from this room (which is why it was the Wotif deal), it was so comfortable, tastefully decorated and well appointed that it did not matter. Plunger coffee, quality soaps, muffins or slice delivered by...

Impressively welcoming would be the way we would describe this place. We were not the easiest of quests to accommodate. Having flown direct from the UK, we arrived at the hotel at 11 am, somewhat tired and in need of a rest. We had told them before hand and they said they would try to have a room ready for...

Spent 4 days in the Grand Vue Hobart and enjoyed every minute. We were upgraded to the Spa Room, it was very spaciously, well furnished, every attention to detail. The kitchenette was very neat, included real coffee and a plunger. We especially loved the little cakes left in our room every night. The host and hostess were very professional, always...

Our room overlooking the water was very well appointed with every detail included. The hotel has been decorated to suit its grand Queen Anne proportions and has been done with flair but without over elaborate, heaviness. The drapes in our room were particularly luxurious and the bathroom was sparkling and pampering. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, top quality yoghurt,...

Our rooms were spacious and inviting with modern bathrooms (the heated towelling rails were an appreciated touch of luxury at this time of year). The mini kitchens with fridge and microwave, jug & toaster etc. would allow you to have a light meal. All rooms appear to have wonderful views across the Derwent and up towards Sandy Bay. On road...

Had a very restful and relaxing time here in the beautiful surroundings of this period hotel. Great nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Beautiful views of the Derwent River and surrounds and a pleasure to eat breakfast looking at such beautiful views. Breakfast included in price and was fresh and enough for our needs. Hotel within walking distance to Salamanca...
