What an awesome spot. The owners are possibly the nicest I've met. I drove in on a motorbike and one of the owners helped me do a valve adjustment free of charge. Not only that but the spot is great. Adelaide is cool town if you give it a chance. Come to this hostel if you want to make friends! Thanks for all the help. I couldn't have made it to Darwin without it!

Yes, Sunny’s is rough around the edges but the two guys I’ve met who work here are absolutely lovely and bend over backwards to help you. They also remember names, which is lovely! When I first arrived, I was a little worried but it has a great vibe and you meet so many cool people.

The bed is comfortable however lower bunk is too low to sit up, so whenever I want to chill out in my room I end up lying down falling asleep instead...The female bathroom is small but clean and air ventilated. To my surprise the common area has air conditioning, which saved my life a couple of times. There is free breakfast, normal stuff, not good nor bad. A fair amount of long-term stayers in the hostel but also many passers, making this place welcoming to new people but if you want to just keep it to yourself, it is totally cool too. In general a nice stay.

The hostel was very quiet while I was there. The pancakes were good ever morning, with tea and coffee all day too. The hostel building itself could do with an upgrade/fresh paint - on the walls. FYI there is a curtain for the showers and not great places to put clean, dry clothes etc without getting them wet.

Sunny's is hard to review. The owner is very pleasant and friendly and always there to help. He gives you a welcoming feeling because he remembers all the names which gives the place a personal touch. There were free pancakes in the mornings, which was great and it was easy to meet other travellers. The downside is that the place is not the cleanest. It really could do with a major cleaning session so you feel more at ease. So this is a big minus there. The rest is really nice.

The stuff at the hostel is very friendly and helpful. The pancakes for breakfast are delicious! It is very central but no the most modern hostel. Wi-Fi works well. I would recommend it for a stay in Adelaide.

I stayed over 1 month, and I felt like home all the time. Fresh and handmade pancakes every morning, Pete and Dave and John are always (and I mean ALWAYS) helpful and kind, good people around all the time, we were like a small family. If you look for something luxory that's not tour place. If you are looking for a place to be happy and in good vibes, this is THE place. Grrat location, very close to centre, 2 minutes walking to Coles and the market (even cheaper than Coles), and 1 min walking to the bus station. I loved you guys, hope to see you soon again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Sunny's twice during our stays in Adelaide. First time it was two weeks and later only couple of nights. What we love about Sunny's is that the staff there is extremely helpful. You can ask anything you have a problem with and they'll do everything they can to help you. They are also super flexible. Because of the staff and the general atmosphere we decided to stay there again and would propably stay in the future as well if we'd be back in Adelaide at some point. However, the hostel is not that clean and it doesn't have proper airconditioning in the rooms which was a bit of a problem during the summer time. In general I think the building would need some renovation.

I met the receptionist twice, he seems to be a be a rassistic alcoholic. I wouldn't feel well there as a single travelling female. Further more there are other budget accommodations with a better ambiance.

Room ok, clean up every morning at 9. Shower is hot for the 1st person and then warm is all you can have. We stay there over a week, never have the wifi. Staff friendly when not completely drunk or high. (Pete/dave) Selling things to 18yo backpackers and take advantage of them... it's a shame. Will not coming back.
