I and my friend had very unhappy and stress when use service of this hotel, staff of hotel very not friendly.
I stayed for two separate nights at the Festival. The first night was awful. I had a triple room - it looked more like a storage room with various furniture thrown in. My wife and I had a very unhappy and stressful stay at this hotel following my discharge from a long stay in hospital due to a serious heart problem. The TV in our room didn't work properly. We stayed four nights at Festival and three nights at Mercure Grovenor. Mercure Grovenor was a little bit more upmarket (a little higher priced - no breakfast included) but the rooms were very similar. The room at Festival also included a single bed. Both hotels had their own restaurant. Our accommodation at Festival included a continental breakfast.
Ideal for holiday maker and business traveller looking for less-expensive accommodation. Friendly & courteous staff. Situated right in the middle of the city centre. Walking distance to the Railway station, State Library & Museum (a must visit..!) Adelaide University etc etc.....Bus stop is right opposite the hotel entrance. Cannot complaint at all on the room conditions. I enjoyed my stay....

I was in Adelaide from Sep. 25 to Oct. 2,and four nights in Rendezvous hotel(5 star) and three nights in Festival hotel(3.5 star).
I really like Rendezvous hotel, big room/delicious foods and excellent service. And the rate is only 150$/night,just the same price with Chinese five star hotel.
As to the festival hotel ,my feeling is it's really a motel...
