“Great landlord, clean and well equipped - don't expect separate bedrooms”

Firstly I second the previous review regarding rooms. They will sleep lots but don't expect separate rooms.

Avoid unit 1 and 2 if you want a decent nights sleep. You do get use to it but if your staying less than 3 nights go for another unit. We stayed in unit 2 for 3 weeks and to be fair at night it does get quiet and you do get used to the road noise.

The reason I give 4 stars is because of the Landlord's Barry and Kay who are really loving people. Barry is a good laugh and very very helpful if you don't know the area and have immigrated and need some advice. Thank you!

There are some really nice people in the other units to and have seen the inside of a few and would rate the rooms as 3 star. Barry supplies fresh linen on a weekly basis but other than that just leaves you to it.

Our unit was nicely furnished and practical in every sense and most importantly clean. Flatscreen, DVD, aircon, ironing board, fridge, washing machine, stereo, kettle... More

“Central to Semaphore”

The place has some very good points, the owner, Barry, is very friendly, the location is just 5 mins walk to the beach and even less to the shops and bars. The (warm) pool was just a few steps from our room and you could park right outside the door.

Our apartment (10) could have slept 7, however it only has one seperate bedroom, the second bed was in a recess in the lounge/kitchen area but without a end wall or door. It wasn't exactly ideal for any more than 2 if you require some privacy, or, as was our case, have a 17 year old who doesn't like mornings!

Having said that it was a detatched unit and the price was pretty decent, maybe we should have checked about exactly what the sleeping arrangements were, my assumption that a 7 person unit would have more than one bedroom was just that, an assumption, so can't really criticise too much.

All in all it was value for money and I wouldn't want to put anyone off, there are certainly more up market places to stay... More
