We stayed three nights with Helen and Colin in this beautiful place on our trip around Australia. We have seldom felt so welcomed (even with two active boys) and really enjoyed our stay here. The house and surroundings are very charming and clean - with many birds and animals and a very nice fruit garden. The children loved the pool... More

We stayed with Helen and Colin for 5 nights, each one comfortable and very friendly, in fact their hospitality was one of the highlights of the stay. Another high point was the discovery of a water python in the chook pen (hen yard for non-Australians) who had just eaten one of the chooks! He was a fine specimen, not too... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at one night at Alligator Creek during our road trip from Cairns to Brisbane. I would highly recommend people to stop over hear to learn about how people actually live in Australia. We were greeted with a refreshing cup of tea on arrival and a tour around a small fraction of the 5 acre plot.... More

Thanks so much for your review, it is good to know people are enjoying Alligator Creek Bed and Breakfast. Sorry you found it a bit hot - I know what a struggle it is arriving here in the summer heat from the cold of an English winter! We thought long and hard about adding aircons but for the sake of... In November 2011 we spent one night at the Alligator Creek B & B. Everything was perfect: The location outside Townsville not far from Bruce Highway, a beautiful house, extremely quiet in the middle of a huge garden. The room and the bathroom were extremely clean, the breakfast excellent. The hosts were most friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the... More

We stayed at Alligator creek in October 2011. We were travelling along the Bruce Highway on our way to the whitsunday islands. The B&B was in a perfect location to stop off. Helen and Colin were very warm and welcoming. Their home was very comfortable, clean and very homely. The breakfast was exceptional, and the bathroom although not ensuite had... More

The white gates on Alligator Creek Road (there are no alligators-it was Lieutenant Phillip Parker King in 1820 who mistakenly identified the estuarine crocodile as an alligator) heralds the large single level house which is set in a typical bush garden. The owners welcomed us warmly and showed us to a comfortable room on the front of the house overlooking... More

Unfortunately we could only stay one night but our hosts Helen and Colin looked after us very well. It was a Friday night and so we hopped into Townsville city centre for dinner and coffee. Then back to Alligator Creek, a comfortable bed, and good sleep. Tasty plentiful breakfast with interesting walk around property following. It is obvious that Helen... More

The Alligator Creek B&B has been a wonderful surprise to us. We expected to find a very quiet b&b in a very quiet location. We love nature and this was the reason why we had chosen it. The surprise was that the rooms were beautiful, we found a lot of space and superb breakfast. A high quality accommodation. Helen was... More

The Alligatort Creek Bed & Breakfast provided a peaceful break in a hectic tour of North Queensland. The host's home was well appointed - situated in a quiet rural farming area of Alligator Creek, 25 kms fromTownsville. Both bed and breakfasts were of a very high standard and the hosts were attentive to our every need. A wide range of... More

During our stay in Townsville my partner, mother and I were warmly wlecomed by Helen and Colin, Helen's husband. Colin met us at the airport and took us for a short tour of Townsville before heading off to the Bed and Breakfast.
