I recently moved to Townsville and began working at the hospital. The hospital provided me three weeks accommodation at this location. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and modern, and was serviced weekly. On a recent trip to Townsville to vist my brother and his family, we found these apartments on their website.(www.townsvilleservicedapartments.com.au).They were located about 100m from the major shopping centre, and it was a short stroll to the river. I would recommend anyone travelling to Townsville, singles, couples or families to stay here first. Not only do you get the convenience of being fully self contained with a kitchen, laundry, etc but everything from washing powder to cling wrap is supplied and it's cheaper than most hotel rooms.
