Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Three adults in Surfers for Christmas, booked elsewhere which had broken aircon and went looking for somewhere close by on Christmas morning. Was delighted with the warm welcome and loved the 2 bedroom apartment. Very well equiped, exceptionally clean and first class location. The refreshing dip in the pool was a bonus. 1 minute for a beach walk or swim. Host was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back with grandchildren.

We stayed for a week enjoying some quiet time when we would normally we working for Supercars at the Gold Coast 600 race. We had room 26, 2 bedrooms, very comfortable, washing machine and dryer, but no dishwasher in the awesome little kitchenette. So close to Surfers and has a patrolled beach, pool was tiny and not really inviting though. Foxtel and Netflix got us through the stormy days, and the hosts were amazing friendly and helpful. Only things that stopped a 5 star rating was the lack of air con in the bedroom, which made it quite warm, and the beds has mattress springs that poked us all night. All in all, we’ll back again, the pros far outweigh the cons. John - RocketCandy AirLand Speed Systems

Great apartment close to a patrolled beach & everything Goldcoast has to offer. Tram stop at end of the street, easy walk to Coles, shops & Cavill mall. We could easily live here! The apartment we had was newly renovated & had ocean views (with a building in the way but still could still see the ocean), which we were very happy about. Morning coffee on the balcony was great! If you’re expecting a more modern apartment with room service, than this place is not for you. Quiet, Spacious 1 & 2 bedroom apartments with a full functional kitchen (no dishwasher), this is the place for you! - we had a 2 bedroom apartment. Big Comfy couch with unlimited Foxtel & Netflix, was great to snuggle up on & watch movies when the weather turned bad. It had cold aircon with fans in bedrooms. Mattress was also very comfortable. Small pool on site. Undercover parking. Building management was excellent & helpful also. We will be definitely staying here again when visiting the Goldcoast .

We stayed here for a week in a two bedroom apartment. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The beach and the light rail were literally a minutes walk from the apartment. We were also a short walk from shopping and restaurants. It was an ideal location from which to explore the Gold Coast without needing to hire a car. The manager was very helpful and accomodating. I had been concerned about some negative reviews I had seen on this site, but those reviews must have been written by people expecting five star facilities for very much less than five star prices. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the Gold Coast. An added bonus was the Clock Hotel, which was a very short walk away. Excellent meals, great service, ridiculously cheap prices. We ate there three times during our week's stay.

This was a nice holiday apartment. It was a little bit run down but you could see they are slowly renovating the building. We stayed for 12 days and we were very comfortable in our apartment. We had 2 bedrooms, bathroom lounge kitchen and a balcony with a small view of the ocean. The pool need some attention, a bit of a paint on the walls and some tiles need replacing as did the pool furniture, but it was very refreshing to swim in. It was in a great location and the owner was very helpful and friendly. I wish them all the best with the future Reno’s and hope they get this gem shining again.

We were able to check in early which was fantastic. We had to wait a bit before we could enter our apartment as it was still being cleaned after the previous guests had left. I walked in expecting it to be clean and fresh but was very disappointed. It’s definitely not the cleanest of places to stay that’s for sure. We were there 5 days and weren’t offered any fresh towels apart from the original 4 we were given. Our apartment wasn’t cleaned throughout our stay & our condiments were not topped up at all & were very minimal. Location is great.

We arrived at View Pacific Apartments in Surfers Paradise only to be greeted by an extremely rude owner who was very difficult too understand. Although I respect English as a second language he was down right rude and it was not appreciated. Owner took us up to our apartment claiming it was the best apartment in the building. We walked in and the apartment was all shut up and dark and had a horrible smell. Upon inspection of the bedrooms the wallpaper was peeling off and you could not open the windows. The curtains were not blockout curtains nor were they even curtains at all they were I face sheets that had been made too look like curtains. There was no ventilation in the toilet or bathroom and we were made to open a window in which other apartments around us could see directly into our bathroom and toilet so absolutely no privacy whatsoever. The kitchen was filthy with fat dripping off the range hood and an oven that was not only putrid it did not work. Owner claimed it was fine and wouldn’t listen. We had booked and paid for 2 weeks and were expected to wash our own towels and sheets and was not offered any fresh towels or linen throughout our entire stay. When I complained to the owner I was called many names including stupid I was also told that the apartment is not 5star and if I don’t like it leave. I would have left however owner refused too refund our money and we could not afford anywhere else not too mention everything was already booked solid. Rubbish was stored in the basement car park and the smell was horrendous again when I complained about this I was told to be quiet. Do yourselves a favour never ever stay at these appartments as they are filthy and the owner simply does not care about the health and safety of his guests he was the rudest man I have ever met and made my family feel extremely uncomfortable with his constant rudeness.

I went on my first holiday and stay at View Pacific. All of us had an amazing stay. The apartment was exceptionally clean, tidy and was very well equipped. Great ocean view from balcony. Will be staying again in the future.

4 adults, 2 children in a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment on the ground floor. No frills, but also no complaints. FYI: No daily cleaning service (need to request clean towels), reception not always manned, could occasionally hear people walking around in the unit upstairs. The secure car park was handy, and easy lift access to room. The staff were all friendly. I’d stay again.

Paid $500 for one night between a couple people to have a night away for a hens night, walked in to an absolutely disgusting apartment. Vomit and god knows what else on the bathroom walls, dirty floors and walls, cupboards with rubbish through them and dirty, used tissue in a kitchen draw!! Absolutely disgusted in the state of the apartment. If I could rate it a zero on here I would! Didn’t even get offered a refund! When brought to the attention of the manager, all we got was “what do you want me to do?” .. had to ask them to clean it! Not only that but when the cleaner walked in and was shown she responded with “but it’s clean?!” Wouldn’t recommend even for my dog to stay here!
