Staff were really welcoming when we stayed here are invited us to the big night out that they have. Drinking games and free pizza at a local bar. This was our first night in cairns and we enjoyed it. The rooms were very clean and we were given a free upgrade to a double room!!

Unfortunately due to a mix up with communication we arrived before the hostel was open as we had just got off a night bus and were booked on a boat trip that day. We stayed here for 6 nights, in a double ensuite, and our son in a dorm. This is such a great backpackers, the sense of community is unrivalled in any other backpackers we've been in. the hostel is small and familiar, very clean and absolutely friendly! the staff is amazing!! there is a free shuttle bus service, a lovely swimming pool and sweet balconys and outdoor areas! planned to stay three nights here but extended to six... had an awesome time!! would definitely come back at any time! thanks castaways!!
