We booked through wotif and the price was about right (wouldn't like to pay rack rate). The photos on the website show spacious rooms and talk about modern décor! This is not what you get. I have travelled and stayed in hotels all over Aus for 25 years and this was definitely the smallest and most cramped space I have... More

Hotel has decent location. We arrived at 20.20 at the hotel after a long flight. We saw the inhouse restaurant had a special meat deal on and we were asked if we would like to dine there. It seemed a good idea. The reservation desk said they would look after luggage and we should go straight to restaurant as it... More

Hotel easy to get too from Airport few minutes walk from Roma St Station.Very good for Suncorp Stadium and great for CBD and Shopping area and Southbank tourist area. The restaurant was closed for the whole of Easter not able to try.But plenty of pubs, cafes, restaurants minutes away. The rooms great for one but would be slightly cramped for two.Staff helpful... More

I booked this hotel at Brisbane airport with help from a travel agent as I did not have any idea as to where to stay. The hotel claimes to have modern and stylish rooms. That is not true. The room was boring and depressing with no pictures or art on the walls. The room was clean and the bed comfortable... More

This was booked for me by a travel agent, as I don't know Brisbane. I was overnighting it in Brisbane in order to make early morning flight. Very far from airport. My shuttle ride to and from the hotel (55 minutes each way) was almost as long as my flight into Brisbane. Staff was courteous, but not over friendly. The... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the George Williams, right in the city, close to Roma St Station, very friendly helpful staff and cheap. Yes, the rooms are a tad small and don’t expect big windows and a great view. But the rooms are clean quiet and ample for a stay in the city. I would recommend this hotel to those... More

Not expecting too much from the reviews, we tried the property on a Wotif special for a 2 day business trip. It turned out to be 3 star perfect for the price. Clean and modern but "pokey" (as a reno'ed YMCA!). If you are after a quiet clean bed located in the heart of trains/bus/shops/entertainment/business it ticks the boxes. Will... More

I can say that this is the smallest space that I have ever stayed in. The rooms size is not slandered. Despite that, the location is not too bad, its close to everything. The rooms though has no view because of the blinders that are installed on the facade.

We've stayed at Brisbane's Hotel George Williams a number of times before because it's in a great location and isn't overpriced. The rooms are small (it's ex-YMCA accommodation), so as long as you know this and don't plan to spend a lot of time hanging around your room it's fine. This time however, we were assigned an "03" numbered room... More
