Can't fault this hotel for service, location and modern room. We were in town for a concert with a 15 and 11 year old. We had a huge 3 room suite with enormous deck with lovely lounge seats, massize lounge room, great sized bathroom with bath and separate shower and second bedroom with 2 single beds. The layout and fitout... More

Hi Melinda K, Wow what a great review! The Sweet Urban is an amazing room and is one of the most popular in our hotel - great for the family. Glad you loved the fit out and style of the room, hope you also got a chance to pamper yourself with our gorgeous evo products. Thanks for your positive feedback.... More

We found ourselves having two functions in the city over the Festive season and decided it would be cheaper to stay in the city then go back and forth to home (over 50kms away) by taxi. So jumped on the internet to find something central, affordable, and different. We came across the Urban and decided to give it a try.... More

Hi SueBrisvegas, Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you're planning to return! How great are the views that our guests can get from all sides of the hotel. After a long day isn't it just great to lie back, relax and watch TV on our big screens on the comfy Urban Snorer beds; or heading downstairs... More

The moment we entered the foyer we were greeted by the perfume of fresh flowers, the classy sitting area and the friendly welcoming staff. This hotel has alot more to offer than a bed for the night & breakfast in the morning. The bar/restaurant is comfortable and inviting, the food is delicious as are the cocktails. Richardo is excellent in... More

Hi Kizziewad, There really is nothing like the smell of freshly cut flowers, we love walking through the foyer everyday. Though the smell of the delicious food at Gazebo Bar & Restaurant is oh so tempting! "Hidden gem's" we love the sound of that! The view from the Loft is incredible even better when sipping on a cheeky cocktail. Thanks... More

This business trip has been made much easier by coming to a hotel that 'just works' - service is great, furnishing is modern and comfortable, rooms are great, I was upgraded for free, got cheap wifi Internet and got a decent meal at the restaurant. Really nothing to moan about (maybe the aircon is a bit loud but better that... More

From the moment you walk into the foyer you know this place is different. There is a strong smell of fresh cut flowers in the foyer along with a combination of modern / funky / retro furnishings. Service is great, and you find little surprises all over the hotel. I held a workshop in the L10 Boardroom which must have... More

Hi Steven D, The smell of fresh cut flowers is gorgeous, and I bet the smell of coffee from the coffee machine in your room was pretty good too ;-) The little things count, and we're glad you liked the little surprises around the hotel. We hope your workshop went well and that the stunning view from the Sky Boardroom... More

We paid $275 a night, plus parking. Its a really old building, the reception is nice, but the rooms are as a prior person said "lipstick on a pig". I couldn't even open the balcony door, which i paid extra for. it took 3 days for them to fix it. The restuarant has a poor selection of food. we ate... More

It is always disappointing when we read such a scathing message from a recent guests after we receive so many great responses each and every day. We work hard to ensure we get it right with each and every customer and pride ourselves in treating each and every guests individually. I am a little surprised with your comments and always... More

The hotel is quite funky - I liked the decor and the beds were comfortable. Staff were nice too and very helpful and friendly. I guess the only criticism I would have is the restaurant doesn't open till 6pm - so if you want to eat you either have to order room service (which defeats the object of going to... More

Hi KTJMelbourne, Thanks for all your feedback! We do try to be as flexible as possible with our food availability. During the week our restaurant is open for brekkie until 10am, lunch from 12 - 2pm, and dinner from 6pm. We recently released the Nibbles Menu to fill in that gap between lunch and dinner in case any of our... More

We paid $270 a night plus parking and wifi made it $300. Not sure why this site shows free wifi - its not. This is an older building with some renos - which does not make it worth the cost of a newer hotel (lipstick on a pig). Room was small, bathroom was reno'd and small. We had a large... More
