I used to live in this area, so love staying at Chesters when work brings me to Brisbane. A quick walk to the shopping and dining at trendy James street, and only two minutes to the restaurants at Emporium. The location is excellent for when you need to stay near New farm/The Valley. The rooms are of top standard, nice... More

a quiet, private hotel with only ten rooms. The centre of the hotel is an open, high-roofed room with a guest's lounge with complementary dvds, books and computer access and a open kitchen and dining room with a very impressive in-wall aquarium. The focus of the venue and the staff are to give you a lovely stay, not to extract... More

Chester's in Fortitude Valley is just off Ann Street and within a short walk of the restaurants and bars at The Emporium centre. The hotel is small, friendly and very welcoming. It has style and catered well for our needs with a comfortable king bed, good shower with lots of hot water and lovely Molton Brown toiletries. The room had... More

staffs looked nice and welcomed us, although our late arrival, maybe 5am on March 29th, they were ready to take our luggage and ask for some next plans,. but they charged a bit expensive for lunch, on the contrary food so delicious.

I agree with most of what has already been said and it is difficult to be complimentary without repeating those sentiments. From start to finish, the experience was polished, calm, professional and warm; all elements that I look for. The staff were all charming, friendly and could not have been more positive and helpful. The exclusivity added to the overall... More

Chesters street in Brisbane is an ugly street in one of our less charming cities. The eponymous hotel is, however, a real gem. Outside it's tiny and plain. Inside a whole new world opens up. This place has real style without being pretentious. It feels like being in a top quality apartment. The use of space is brilliant, making a... More

Stayed at Chester for business due to location and positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Chester's lived up to expectations with the overall property immaculatley presented with courteous and freindly service. Room was comfortable with quality mattress and linen, small but functional bathroom with large shower stall. Small touches included Book & DVD library and computer terminal/printer for guests. While no... More

Our cities are over run with chain hotels in the downtown region of the city. They do a very good job and tick all the boxes. Sometimes you just need somewhere more like home a place that is quite and a place to relax after a long day. . I stayed at Chester's in October 2010; I was looking for... More

We read the reviews and went there for our two-nights stopover at Brisbane. Our stay at this boutique hotel was up to expectation. The hotel is very small in scale with only ten rooms. But the rooms are very new and of elegant modern design, which is what we really prefer in choosing hotels. For the basics, the bed is... More

This tiny hotel in Brisbane is a little gem. I had chosen this delightful Hotel by looking at Trip Advisor, reading the reviews as you do. Chester Hotel lived up to the hype. Good location, very quiet street and room. Clean and comfy well appointed throughout. Has a clean modern bathroom, walking robe, with comfy gowns and slippers, ironing board... More
