We found this place by mistake but it was one of the best places to stay during our NT trip. Absolutely peaceful place in the middle of Mary River wetlands. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities bit "old school" but clean. The menu in bistro is little overpriced. They do wetlands cruises (1,5 hour $55) which was one of the best... More

Accommodation looks a bit tired, shared amenities block is fine but bbq / kitchen area is third world and ropey. The menu in the bistro looked interesting, but no air-con in the eating area made a restaurant meal pretty unappealing. Grass looked nice in the camping area, but is a bit rich at $17 per person for some average facilities...

Been in the Territory all my life and know the history of Point Stuart, but this was the first time I had the pleasure of staying at the Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge. The manger/owner Dean and all the staff that were present for our stay were excellent. We enjoy both a deluxe room (with own bathroom) and standard room (share... More

When we were planning our trip to Darwin we first looked at our entire accomodation in Darwin only, expecting then to do side trips to Kakadu, Litchfield etc and then book about 2-3 separate fishing day trips. Then after some researching on TA, we stumbled upon the Point Stuart Lodge. It turned out to be the best part of our... More

We stayed here in early march 2010 - the point stuart lodge is in kakadu (about 230ks from darwin) but it is the best place to base yourself from if you want to go barra fishing... The room rate is overpriced and there was no discount for a group booking **which i find bizzare !! I NOTICED AT THE TIME... More

Good, clean basic accommodation along the Mary River which has loads of wildlife and fewer tourists than Kakdu itself but still a reasonable spot to explore Kakadu from. The room was spacious with a nice area to sit outside and watch the kangaroos at dusk. The attached saloon is suitably atmospheric and meals are OK if not a little overpriced.... More
