This place is incredible. From the moment you arrive you are taken care of in every way. The staff was exceptional and the tour guides made it an unforgettable experience. We were only there two nights, but it felt like 5- we did so much and had such a great time. Tour guides, Tianna and Katie, made it even that much more memorable with their information and especially Katie's recitation of "My Country". The rooms are an experience, in and of themselves- a tent, but really, not a tent...luxurious and fully stocked. Sleeping out under stars on the last night was the icing on the cake. If you can get there- you should, absolutely, stay at this place. You will never forget it.

In Uluru, we really enjoyed our time and this place was so relaxing and nice! You should bring a scarf as it can get quite cold :) Sit during sunset and watch the Uluru rock change hues of orange and red! Beautiful!

Hi there Lorraine, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, and the team are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your experience in the Red Centre! The temperature can certainly drop off in the evenings, and often a nice respite from the warmer days. For more information on what to pack, we recommend visiting our website for helpful recommendations. The changing colours of the iron-laden Uluru are one of the greater natural spectacles in Australia, and enjoying them with a cocktail in hand from one of our talented bartenders doesn't hurt either! Thank you for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back one day. Warm regards, Team Longitude

Amazing! What an utter delight. If you want the best location to view and visit Uluru and wonderful attentive knowledgable staff stay here. The ‘tents’ are stunning, well designed, well equipped. Try sleeping on your deck under the stars, we were sceptical but so glad we did. Food is top quality fine dining standard. You will be offered a tailored programme of visits to Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa, really well thought out by the hosts, this really makes your visit the best it can be. It’s expensive but totally worth it.

This was an outstanding resort experience at every level! From the moment you arrive, the warmth and service orientation by all the staff of the resort is felt. The lodge is a beautiful huge tent with great views of Ayres Rock. Food is exceptional at every meal. Menus tailored to personal tastes and food preferences, are outstanding, and even have your name on the menu! Wines and spirits are premium selections, and the generous open bar will satisfy any taste that you may have, The guided walks accompanied by cocktails, wines and canapes are excellent. Guides are knowledgeable and fun to be around! The luxury tent (#12) had an unobstructed view of Ayres Rock! Well appointed with all the amenities you need. We loved the unique swag surprise after Table 131, and were disappointed that it was only prepared on 1 night of our stay. Table 131 dinner experience is a highlight, not to be missed! The field of lights was a little disappointing, but is an interesting artistic concept. The night sky is exceptional, even though the new moon diluted the stars some. The "spa" is more treatment rooms than a spa experience, although the therapists were good and the treatment enjoyable. If you're planning a trip to Ayres Rock, and are looking for a true 5 star experience, look no further. Here the beauty, culture and service all blend into a "no worries" experience!

The Dune Pavillion at this resort is stunning with beautiful large decorated rooms and killer views. The AC and water are good. You can sleep with sleeping bags they provide under the stars on your back porch. All that's missing inside is a skylight over the bed with a view to the stars. It's the only real accommodation here that is a 2 bedroom setup for a family with kids. The pavillion costs roughly the same as two small tents that don't connect, so it's no contest which setup I'd rather have. The resort is nicely done with good and sophisticated food (our menus had our names on them) and there are some really good programs they organize for their in-house guests such as sunset visits to Uluru and dinner under the stars. I personally liked the food a bit more at Lizard Island and other guests making the rounds of the resorts at this level agreed. The spa has beautiful treatment rooms and my treatment was an interesting massage by an Italian lady that was very well done. There are e-bikes for you to ride around the resort area but nothing that really works well if you are short. Dinner under the stars was cool and the private tours they organized for us were excellent. I think it's silly to spend all the money to come here and not do activities at your own pace meaning what you want and when you want it, and just pay extra for that. We didn't want to get up at 6am for group tours and have to go to Cultural Centers we didn't want to linger in. Another important reason to book private guides is that although the hotel emails you a big brochure prior to arrival to help with planning, it all seems the same from far away and we had a hard time really knowing the differences among the walking activities we were arranging. As a previous reviewer wrote, if you can stand a medium hike, the Valley of the Winds hike is far superior to the group hike on offer at Kata Tjuta which is of a gorge. We wouldn't have known because they don't tell you that. When I asked after hearing from other guests that their hike was lame and that this one was better, i was told that the resort doesn't know the fitness level of its guests prior to arrival and doesn't want people to be disappointed. So the value of the private guide is that you can roll with the punches after you arrive and realize that what you booked in advance may not be what you really want. We went to Kata Tjuta on the Valley of the Winds hike, and a tour of Uluru during the day. Field of Lights was also great to visit. The Uluru rock gets same-old after half an hour of walking around it. Some of the guides are a bit sanctimonious with the aboriginal stuff and other guides are more chill; it's a luck of the draw. For my son's 16th birthday they organized a private concert and demo with their resident didgeridoo player which worked out really well. If you get tired of long lunches and dinners you can tell the wait staff to speed things up a bit. Our shoes were filthy by the end of the 2 day visit but we cleaned them with towels and the shoe brush they provide in the room. Not a bad thing to do before departure and it would be a great service if they would offer to clean people's shoes before departure (instead several of their staff told me they had no idea how I could clean my shoes). The resort has a helipad and you can take a chopper from there around the area and then get dropped off at the airport. The hotel made us some snack packs for the onward flight. Food at this airport is surprisingly not bad either. What this hotel lacks is a gym (even if I am hiking I still want exercise options that makes me feel like I've worked out as I normally do) and a resort at this price could certainly better heat its swimming pool which is pretty small anyway. I was expecting better on both counts and felt exercise deprived after being here for 2 days especially with the big meals. Jogging and biking is tough here if you're used to flat terrain. My only complaint here was that they took people out on a sunset walk and then left the guests alone to take pictures of each other. The staff know the good shots and we had crappy photos because the other guests didn't know the good shots. We complained and then before we left someone took us out to get some better photos. Also, when I complained about the pool temperature, I think someone just figured i was an idiot and ignored me. For a resort housing only about 40 guests at a time, I was hoping for more consideration on that point. To sum up, this is one of Australia's finest properties and it's worth what you pay for it. But for what you are paying, it could use a few upgrades that 5-star travelers worldwide expect as standard. Because most of their foreign guests only come once, there is no real incentive for them to change so I don't know if these reviews mean anything to them, but at least the reviews are here for you.

We had 2 days at the end of our tour around Australia as a family of 5 (3 teens) Stayed in the Dune Pavilion - the website photos and description do not give justice to the setting and quality of this room. Utterly incredible Views from the room are directly to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. You can laze on the deck and in the hot tub and relax and enjoy Service at the hotel was superb. Helping to book some activities in advance and some others on arrival. Friendly yet very professional and helpful. Food is excellent. Catered well for gluten free (though a couple of glitches with orders and a little slower than ideal at times but no issue) Experience wise the highlight was a walk in the valley of the winds at Kata Tjuta which was incredibly beautiful. Also recommend the evening trip to the gorge. The sunset view trip is worthwhile to watch the colours change…and its quite nice to have canapes and drinks there. Field of light very underwhelming- nature viewing and light much more spectacular. Walpa gorge walk is ok but not that interesting or much of a walk- choose valley of winds instead if you have a choice We also did a cycle round Uluru which the staff helped organize and which was worth doing as a family If we had time would have taken an extra day as there is so much to do…and also to enjoy the room even more Highly recommended!
