Having read many reviews deriding this hotel we were pleasantly surprised to really enjoy our stay at the Outback Pioneer Hotel, we enjoyed the Buffet meal in the restaurant, the room was clean on our arrival and kept clean throughout our stay, although we were in the block nearest the BBQ and entertainment we were not overly disturbed when we... We were booked on a three day tour starting at Ayers Rock/Uluru airport and concluding in Alice Springs. The tour operator was APT and they did a fine job, thanks to our guide , John. We were met at the airport and bussed into the resort, check in was a little slow due to the number of people checking in... More

Stayed at the outback pioneer hotel at ayres rock resort. For the money you pay it is very basic but clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle that goes around the resort on the half hour which can be useful. Of course being close to the Rock and the you pay for it. My... More

The free Voyages Resort buses pick you up from Ayers Rock Airport & transfer you to your chosen accommodation. Porters look after your bags & it doesn't take long for them to arrive at your room. Thanx Matt & staff!!! Check-in can be a little slow due to the arrival of both Qantas & Virgin flights at similar times. However, there... More

Its all about location, and frankly it doesn't matter which hotel you choose here. By the time you do sunrise and sunset, lucky if you are in your room a couple of hours a day. Beds are comfy, room is clean and quite large, what more do you need? Shame the whole place is a monopoly, and you pay thru... More

It cost me a $170. I had just been in Japan and even in Tokyo I didn't pay this much. I can't believe you can pay 170 dollars and wait 20 minutes in the queue to just check in. There were Japanese people ahead of me in the queue to check in and I cringed at what they must have... More

Hi there senorsolomon.I do hope this response finds you well. Firstly thank you for your recent patronage and for taking the opportunity to rate our services on this great forum. Ultimately a great opportunity for the team and I to look at improvements we can make and for me to shed some light on a few, mis-guided statements in your... More

We were concerned with what we would find when we were booked into The Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge but the Hotel bit was fine and the Lodge bit was useful because it had a small laundry for washing and drying which certainly beats paying the high costs of a hotel laundry service. Our double room was fairly large although... More

Travelling with 2 friends, all of us in our late 30's. Everything is expensive here and this is a good option. We shared a quad room which was small but very clean and the mattresses were new and extremely comfortable. Communal showers were also great. We foolishly had dinner at the onsite buffet restaurant which was very expensive (about $70... More

My friends and I came to Uluru for a quick day trip and stayed one night in the Outback Pioneer Hotel. It was the bare necessities but it was OK. It probably was just because of the environment. Bugs were everywhere. It was so serious that our room had bug spray....that was a first. It was the most expensive of... More
