Overall experience and facit We enjoyed the perfect star sight and listened to the sounds of the nightly bush. We highly reccomend this place to everyone who seeks for an exceptional outback experience without refraining from the luxurious comfort of a first class hotel. Acommodation We have slept in a luxurious "tent". The tent was a fully equipped bedroom with... More

The kings canyon wilderness lodge is somewhat of a hybrid between luxury and simpleness: while the tents (yes, real tents) are quite luxurious from the inside and feature very nice bathrooms. however, the remote location, the absence of any cell phone signal or wifi as well as the casual reception by and the behavior of the staff are more "adventurous".... My wife & I were met by one of the guides, Ian, who drove us to the resort. Arrived at the resort, and were greeted by Imogen, with 2 ice-cold glasses of water (heaven!). Our "tent" was quite an experience. Air-conditioned, with a king size bed. Very comfortable & clean. Later in the afternoon Ian gave us a guided walk... More

An excellent way to be part of the nature of the real outback. Wonderful evening and great food, and service. Sitting around the camp fire, seeing the native wildlife come out and the brilliant night sky, with explanation of the stars was great experience. The accommodation was way better than expected with ensuite to each 'tent'. Hope to get back... More

After a long trip at the Mereenie loop we arrived at the lodge. In our tent was the "bedroom" and the" bathroom", shower and bath, apart with a small corridor between. The bathroom was very hot because there is no airco but very modern and a lot of space. We find the bedroom a little bit dark because of the... More

We stayed at the King's Canyon Wilderness Lodge as part of a tour from Uluru to King's Canyon to Alice Springs. We were lucky to be in what we had heard nicknamed the "honeymoon suite" that is supposedly the only tent whose bathroom had a clawfoot bathtub. The food was excellent and when we were there, it was not very... More

My husband and I just got back from our Australian honeymoon. Both of us agree that these were our favourite accommodations in the whole trip. Unfortunately we were only here for one night. I would've loved to have had a chance to sit out on our tent's back deck and have a cup of tea. The staff were so friendly... More

We loved the experience of staying in a luxury style tent without all the hassle of putting one up. The main room of the tent was the sleeping and sitting area which led out onto a small deck area where you could sit and enjoy the Australian bush. Across a breezeway was the ensuite bathroom fitted with heat lamp and... More

From start to finish this experience was a total let down !!! Our sour welcome from the negative sarcastic hostess was just the beginning of the horror experience .... My male traveling companion was asked to help with luggage from the car , we had to ask for the star gazing talk after dinner , the host laughed at us... More

Quite a unique experience really. Tented accommodation with all features of a four star hotel room. I wouldn't call it 'luxury' but certainly the feel is upmarket - at least in the tent world. We had a lovely 4 course dinner which started around a campfire and then went inside to warmth. In winter the temperature is below freezing at... More
