Had a lovely relaxing stay at Bond Springs. It really does feel in the middle of nowhere, probably because it is. It's about 8 miles out of downtown Alice Springs, partly on dirt road, this added to the attractiveness for us. Very old style, not phone, no TV, no internet. Bond Springs is self catering (they do not have a restaurant), but they do stock your fridge with a very good breakfast. It is only 15 km north of Alice Springs, so you can stock up with food in the supermarkets there, and do your own cooking in the accommodation kitchen, or the gas barbecue on the veranda. You stay... We stayed here In May 06. It was a wonderful experience. The property was really lovely and very comfortable and yet still had a feel of 'yesteryear'. Woke up in the middle of the night and just walked out on the verandah...totally amazing night sky! The owners brought over a really well stocked hamper, which consisted of homemade bread, butter...
