Prior to heading up to Ayers Rock I conducted a bit of research regarding camping options in the area and read a few reviews on here. After viewing some of the terrible reviews I had seen on Trip Advisor, I expected an absolute brothel, but it was not the case. Let's be realistic here. Curtin Springs is a roadhouse in... More

We stayed overnight at the Curtin Springs Station to break up the drive from Ayers Rock Resort to Alice Springs. We had a good-sized comfortable family room with one double bed and three single beds and fridge (no TV), and air conditioner unit in each of the the three rooms. We combined our stay with the SEIT Mount Connor tour... More

We under estimated the distance to Uluru and driving in the pitch black and seeing Curtin Springs pop up with free camping, toilets and showers for a small fee was a lifesaver. Cute little bar and outdoor sitting area with a huge bird aviary was such a nice surprise. Set up camp in a quiet spot and felt very safe... More

After several years with my wife we decided to return to Uluru-Kata Tjuta region and we stayed at the Curtin Springs station again. Yes, it is very basic, but on the other hand the en-suite containers have everything you need for a good sleep. A shower, a toilet, air conditioning, even a kettle for a morning tee or coffee, should... More

What can I say about my stay on the Curtain Springs Station? Well, I was very, very disappointed. Especially on their frequently advertised “Outback Hospitality”, or the lack there of. The accommodation could make do. The budget room was indeed just that. A bed, 60cm of free room around its three sides and 2 bookshelves. The advantage being it took... More

Whilst on an outback adventure with my friends we had the unfortunate experience of our car breaking down and taking 2 days to be fixed. We were fortunate enough to break down an hour away from Curtin Springs Station so luckily had somewhere nice to pass the time. The free camping ground was a life saver, as was the bar!... More

No real complaints here at all: for $95, our budget room included a perfectly clean bed wedged inside a tiny room cut into something that looks like a converted railroad boxcar. Both the bedroom and the shared bathrooms are old, but perfectly clean. Tolerable wifi internet is available at outback prices, and you can stock up on petrol, wine, beer,... More

We spent a night here in July before heading into Uluru. You camp straight on the dirt, but for a free nights camping, you can't complain! Toilet blocks were convenient and clean. I think you have to pay for a hot shower, but we were grots and decided to skip a shower! Overall a great place to camp, oh and... More

We stayed in a family unit. The accommodation was very comfortable and affordable. We ate at the restaurant and the steak was from the station cattle and it was a very tender steak. The meal was a very simple meal not your 5 star standard but what moe do you want when in the middle of the outback. Coming from... More
