Do not book this hostel! My boyfriend and I arrieved here using their free shuttle bus from the airport. The bus got us to the hostel 15 minutes after the reception closed so we could not check in. The reception closes between 12 noon and 4pm. The hostel staff knew what flight we were getting in as I emailed them... More

I booked this hostel a few weeks before traveling to OZ. A solo female traveler I was keen on selecting a hostel that was clean and safe. I spent a lot of time researching and came across G'day. The picture on this page of the nice bed and room was luring but i think it must be a copied picture... More

what a shame !!!! stayed there in 2011 for 2 months, cockroaches everywhere, dirty sheets, even some bedbugs to join the party ! Dirty bathrooms as well, thieves in the kitchen. Excellent location if you wish to party a lot. Avoid the place except if you have no money !!! However, good memories there !

I will never, ever come back to this hostel and it is definitely nominated for being the worst hostel in my 3,5 months of traveling through Australia. The 6 bed dorm I was staying was small and there, and the beds were so close together there was hardly anyplace to leave our backpacks. The dorms were very hot at night,... More

Dirty, noisy, old rooms that never got cleaned. The kitchen is terrible with by far not enough plats, mugs etc. Saw also some cockroaches in the kitchen. Every night drinking games, lots of puking in rooms and bathrooms. Seemed like the hostel got run by backpackers who stayed there themselves and couldn't really control the hostel. There should be someone... More

Well, indeed, we get what we pay for, however, still, in my opinion, there should be at least some service. Which does not exist. The manager instead of answering my question how to get to certain location told me to go to Central station and ask information, he even did not care about it. It is dirty, noisy, and disgusting... Between the cockroachs that fall on you during your sleep, the total dirtiness of the place, the 'i-don't-care-at-all' attitude of the management, this was awful to be there. The kitchen is disgusting, everything is also so dirty there. Furthermore, only 3 or 4 cups to accommodate hundred people. They also cheated on me regarding internet. They sold me a one... More

First of all the location of the hostel is pretty good, near to the supermarket and loads of bars and restaurants and not far from the sighs, I think it is about a 15 minute walk into the very centre of Sydney. The rooms are ok, average size, not too small but not the best we have stayed in. The... More

Stayed here 3 days and everyone out of my room moved on to other hostels in Sydney. The worst thing for me is the atmosphere-didn't wanna spend time there. but got to see lots of Sydney (beautiful!!). Had my food robbed from Kitchen. Staff didn't care. Staff seem to have large community there and are quite closed.
