We've stayed twice at the Mariner's Court and from now on this will be our Sydney base. Craig in reception is extremely helpful and friendly. We find the location excellent, many great dining options within a short walk in Woolloomooloo (even the original Harry's Cafe de Wheels!), 5 minutes walk to the heart of Kings Cross, 15 minutes pleasant walk... We stayed here, recently for a Swans Match at the SCG... It was a very long walk to the ground and back walking. We have since found that the bus 311 will talk us most of the way. Breakfast really great Already booked agin for another Swans game Book direst through the hotel website, is a better deal

Stayed here for a week with my partner on a holiday in sydney. Had everything we wanted and more. Bedroom wasn't massive but it's not like you want to spend all your time in it. The little balcony off the room was a great adition to take in the evening from. We also made use of the big shared balcony... More

This hotel is better than it looks in the photographs. Very comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom, very clean and fresh. Wine glasses are provided as well as tumblers which many higher standard hotels don't give you. The guest lounge has very comfortable lounge chairs and is a great place to sit for a drink (BYO) if you are staying with... More

Mariners court is our motel of choice in Sydney both when travelling for business and with the family. Fantastic location, great service and excellent value for money. Walking distance to the city, & pretty close to train station if you need to go a bit further. Good range of places to dine close by and parking is best value in... More

This is an excellent, inexpensive hotel with all the amenities you need for a comfy, well positioned stay in an expensive city. I feel I need to rave about it, I was so happy to have chosen this neat little hideaway. We were seeing the open air opera Carmen at Mrs Macquarie's Chair and being so close we were able... More

My partner and I retired 10 years ago and moved from Sydney to the South Coast of NSW. We come up to Sydney once a month (or so) to keep up professional and social contacts. In these many years we have always chosen to stay at the Mariners Hotel. We rate the hotel as "excellent" for the rates that are... More

I stayed here for a weekend. It was really for convenience that I chose this place I had a party on that was just around the corner. For this price I cannot recommend this place more. The bedding and towels are clean. The room I had was really quiet and quite large. As mentioned in other reviews it was an... More

Most disgusting place I have ever stayed! Bed bugs in the bed. The mattress was so old and spongy I shouldn't have been suprised. Mold and bacteria everywhere. We checked out early and told the owner about the bed bug problem, who was very apologetic at first, only to come home and receive an email saying that the room is... More

Hi My name is Craig and I am the General Manager of the Mariners Court Hotel. I would like to respond to the review about Bed Bugs. On the day this guest came into our reception area to complain about what he said were bed bugs in his room, my staff took his complaint very seriously and the manager and... More

This place is way overpriced for what you get. Hostels are kept in better condition. I checked in after hours (7pm) and was assigned a room that had no locking mechanism on the inside of the door. I was advised it's illegal to lock your room from the inside because it could be a fire hazard. That is the first... More

We informed this guest that the rooms can be locked from the inside but they do not actually lock in the guest it just locks the outside handle. All our rooms are safe and have locks . Do you think you have to swipe your card from the inside of the hotel door to get out ? Craig Short General... More
