Stayed at Y hotel City South with my family in the 4-bed family room. As mentioned in the previous reviews, it was really small. However, basic amenities were present and the room appeared clean at first glance. However, to our horror, we found many cockroaches in the bathroom! We had to kill about 8-10 of the small cockroaches before we... More

I stayed here for one night with a friend, choosing Y Hotel City South for its affordability and central location. It's very nicely located, and is only a small walk/drive to the main city areas, technology park, etc. There was a problem with the twin room I booked so me and my friend were given a separate room each. At... More

I came here on Thursday this week for a friends 21st arrived late and the man was ok about it which was good but our transfers didn't turn up and he said it was our fault as we must have given the wrong date which didn't happen! We got to our room and was shocked by how small it was... More

The room was very small although it was clean, as was the bathroom. For a one night stay aa discounted rate this room was ok however I might have struggled to stay for more than a few days due to the room sizes. There is a train line running beside the hotel however this did not cause too much noise,... More

I stayed here over new year 2012/13 and found it to be a decent base, 5 min walk to Refern train station and yes the tracks run right next to the accomodation so some rooms will get that noise. Luckily our room was not and although small, it was adequate to store our belongings, sleep, shower and base ourselves before... More

stayed there for 3 nights, the room and bathroom are tiny. but you just get what you paid for. The breakfast was good, i don't think you can pay any cheaper than that to get a bed and breakfast deal around that area.

We reserved this room through Hotwire who rated it 3.5 stars. Bathroom door was broken, they gave us 2 twin beds and had issues getting the room made up. Air conditioning was extremely loud, and even though Hotwire had placed the Hotel in Chinatown area, it wasn't even close. Parking was $20 per night, wouldn't park in the street in... More

This is a borderline youth hostel/hotel. Do not stay here thinking you are at a standard hotel. Stay here for a cheap room before heading on the next day. Felt the place misrepresented itself when I booked it. (should have checked TA) The shared baths were often busy- all stalls occupied in the morning! Showers were dirty. Breakfast was marginal... I was with my girlfriend staying here. The good: Modern looking rooms Rooms not too noisy albeit over a train station Room airconditioned The bad: Room was literally shoebox sized.. No larger than a small bedroom. Made it feel overpriced. None of the pictures justify how small the rooms were which I felt a bit cheated by. Bathroom was dirty... More
