I spent 2 nights at the Woolbrokers as I had to attend a training course in the city. the location is great. It's right next to Darling Harbour and about a 30 minute walk from Central Station, or a short stroll to the light rail to take you there. It's a 5 minute walk from the Ian Thorpe swimming centre/... I expected "budget" but what I got was a bug-infested, lumpy-bedded, dingy and noisy room. Service was non-existent - when I told the front counter staff there were bugs in the room, she said "bugs, what sort of bugs?", which clearly was not the actual problem. No apology even provided.

Great if your on a budget and just want somewhere clean to sleep. We got an air conditioned room with an ensuite, king size bed and bunks for $130 on a Saturday. Rooms aren't modern, and very basic, (bathroom was brand new), but you would expect that for the location and price. It's only a very short walk to Darling... More

This hotel was in an excellent location, is a pretty good priced & has cheap parking. The downside for us was the massive stains on the curtains & blankets which were quite off putting & left us trying to avoid touching....

We were in Sydney for one night and just needed somewhere to leave the car and pass out after a concert we were going to, and this place fitted the bill perfectly. It's not the most luxurious place out there, but for the money we paid it was definitely good enough. The room was tidy (although a little stuffy without... More

Great Value for the large room to accommodate our family of 6. Other alternatives in Sydney would have meant 2 hotel rooms at more than double the cost. We had an en-suite in our room and a shared bathroom right outside the door. It was noisy from passing traffic but the location was fantastic for public transport and darling harbour.... More

If you want a decent anything (night's sleep, shower, wifi connection) you can forget it! I knew from other reviews that I'd booked a hotel room with a certain amount of soul, but on reflection it was a little too much 'soul' for me - plus - this place can't really call itself a hotel at all. It's definitely more... More

The Woolbrokers Hotel is great value for money. Where else in Sydney can you stay two nights, a stone's throw away from Darling Harbour, for less than $200? We were walking distance to public transport, which is fantastic. My partner and I stayed there in August last year and were happy with the service, the room and the amenities avaliable.... More
