Tired, dirty, very disappointed.. We asked for two sachets of coffee, received plastic bag of multiples thrown in room.. shower taps dripping.. timber around base rotten, cockroach seen in bathroom.. Not worth nightly fee.. Receptionists, very dismissive.. will never stay at Ibis Hotel again..

Well done you guys. I have a Accor status points from frequent stays at various Accor accommodation. My one night stay really required a late check out. I contacted the property a day in advance and was treated nicely over the phone and this late check out was organised. I was given a great room on the tenth floor with Darling Harbour views. Staff also honoured my Accor status with a sensational liquid gift in my room. This was well received as I needed it when I got back to the property. What a great surprise. This is a great place to stay. Thank you for making me feel at home.

It’s a dated hotel yet is located at a prime spot in Sydney. The staff is extremely helpful and they are solution oriented trying to accommodate guests’ wishes and ensure their comfort. I would like to especially thank Patrick and Jatin for their undeniable efficiency in making me feel comfortable in my last stop in Australia. You guys made it a memorable visit for me through your quick and competent solutions. Hoping to see Ibis Darling Harbour refurbished and renovated in the future as it’s got so much potential for a better rating..

Imagine arriving to the hotel at 11:30pm that you pre-booked weeks ago after 24hrs+ of international travel only to be told that your room was unavailable due to maintenance issues (which could not be explained despite questioning). I had also responded to their email a day earlier asking me to complete the express check in option which included advising what time we would arrive and confirming we were still coming. We were then told to sit and wait whilst they addressed the matter. We were then instructed we had to walk down to Novotel with all our luggage as that’s where we would be staying for the night as there were no rooms for us. The staff tried to sell it to us as a 4 star hotel upgrade even though we didn’t want to stay here. We were marched down to the hotel at midnight and waited close to an hour before we had an update or a room key. The staff did not offer any apologies or understanding for this major inconvenience. The major issue being that hotels were all charging gigantic costs (price gauging) due to Taylor swift performing in Sydney. And I strongly believe our booking was processed knowing full well there weren’t enough rooms available. We got into our room at 1am and were then expected to check out at 10am the next morning and store our luggage next door with Ibis until our room was available. We were offered breakfast for one day only as compensation. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs. There are much nicer and centrally located hotels in the same area that are more reliable, professional and hospitable than spending your money here to possibly not even have a booking. Do not recommend and would encourage everyone to avoid booking here.…

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are so outdated forget trying to stream anything or watch anything good on the tvs. Every time anyone around us used the shower you could hear the pipes screaming. Also if you want a quick hot show forget it! It takes like 20mins just to get any WARM water. The rooms are tiny and all you get is the world’s smallest fridge. Also so not quiet you can hear everything through the thin walls including the construction on the darling harbour. Would not stay here again even if it’s really convenient, not worth the price tag my recommendation go somewhere else

THE VIEW! THE VIEW! THE VIEW! The view is amazing as you can see the harbor and the skyline. The hotel is also very close to everything, just walk over the bridge and you will be around many shops and attractions. You are also a very short walk to the ferry boat which will take you to many areas and attractions for less than $1 USD! There are a few restaurants nearby that stay open very late and a market across the street with drinks and snacks. The hotel staff were very friendly and beyond helpful. I loved the outdoor lounge and hate I didn't have more time to sit out there but I had the same incredible view from my room! My room was clean and my bed was very comfortable!

Location was great but room was very small. Breakfast was ordinary and closed earlier 10;00 am as compared to other hotel restaurants. For the amount of money I paid, $300 per night, I still had to pay for parking and was not impressed. I will not stay at an ibis hotel again.

O M G what a delight to come back and try this superb restaurant...and on New Year eve. Bloody amazing. We booked seafood for 2 at $145. Crikey, where can you go in Sydney for this?? Ibis you think....mmm nah. Think again!! We had an absolute delight of a night. We show the 8pm, 9pm, 10pm and someone wanted to stay and see the 11pm fireworks! O M G we could see it all. They had a beautiful singer as you entered the hotel from Darlingharbour side walk. She was amazing herself! The spirit and vibe was amazing, a credit to the GM of the Ibis Hotel. And not to forget Mr Flowers- friggen amazing value and spontaneous service from the FB team. Guess where we are coming to celebrate New Year's Evev next (this year).
