Situated next to central station and China town this hotel is deceiving from the outside. Rooms are spacious, ours had a balcony next to the pool. Our sons appreciated the queen beds in their shared room. However our king bed was very hard, too hard for a good night's sleep. Excellent service. No noise heard from the street.

Stayed for a night as it was a last minute booking. Friendly reception floor with our late arrival, prompt Service and we were in our room within minutes. We are a family of four who stayed at the Novotel Sydney Central for 2 nights in a 2 queen bedded room on the 9th floor. Our first time at this (new) Novotel - and it won't be our last...It is a little old and will need a 'facelift' in a year or two, but it is nevertheless very good. The location & the staff brought it up a level - well done all!

Stayed on a Sunday night and had 4 rooms .we arrived early but rooms were all ready . All very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Booked for a few nights stay in May and were in the refurbished room. The room decoration and bathroom seem really basic and further refurbishment is still needed. The hotel staff is very friendly and dedicated especially the Front Desk and Housekeeping staff. We were blown away by their exceptional service. They deserve a pay rise. We stayed for one night, bed was very comfortable and room had all the usual but nothing expectational. Small bottle of water $4 and similar for packet of chips. Location great, close to train station and china town, meals excellent and good value for money Staff are very friendly and helpfull Rooms are clean and well maintained but are starting to show signs of age.

Overall a fairly average experience. Room (and especially the bathroom) are in major need of renovation. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable, and the quality of the hotel is certainly well below what I'd expect from a Novotel. We didn't have a whole lot of choice of hotels as we only booked a few days in advance, unlikely to ever go back.
