The apartments are tired and in need of an overhaul however the beds were clean as was the bathroom and kitchen. It is very noisy so I recommend earplugs if you are going to stay here. Central location but it doesn't make up for the shabby, worn, and generally grotty room. The shower screen in the room was broken, and tyou had that sneaking suspicion that perhaps wearing thongs in the shower might have been a good idea. Fortunately the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Sydney budget accommodation deserves better. More

If you want to get zero sleep then stay at the metro. Inadequate single glazed inadequate windows on busy Kent and Sussex st mean you hear every yell, every car horn and motorbike like it's in your room. Kitchen disgusting with cupboard doors actually falling off. Pump pack toiletries are filled with what can only be industrial detergent. Absolutely disgraceful... More

I know that this place is only 3 stars, but that doesn't excuse grubby bathrooms and a lack of double insulation on the windows meant that the noise of the very busy King st intersection meant that sleep was hard to come by.. There are far better hotels for the price in Sydney, just search a little harder! More

Great location apartments in great central position close to all desired locations. But our apartment was smelly, despite window being open. Bathroom was covered in mould and poorly maintained. Apartment could do with major clean and overhaul. Would not recommend staying there, will not return. More

This accommodation is appalling. On arrival in Sydney we arrived to find a room which was dirty, dilapidated and outdated. The description boats new furnishings such as carpet and television - unfortunately the rest of the apartment has not been updated in the last 30-40 years - and did not appear to have been throughly cleaned in this timeframe either.... We really enjoyed being in walking distance of everything, kids loved the rooftop pool, we loved the view (could see darling harbour and maritime museum from the balcony). Older style units throughly refurbished with washing machine and dishwasher and all the usual. Friendly staff. King size bed plus Sofa bed in the lounge, foxtel for the kids. Very Clean too.... More

From booking my room Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, very clean room, awesome view (top floor room). Would definitely stay again and not hesitate to recommend to others. Well done Metro!! More
