DO NOT STAY HERE. We paid nearly $2000 for the 3 bedroom apartment and it is very obvious that they NEVER get cleaned. They may have ‘cleaners’ employed but they do not clean a single thing. The carpet is absolutely disgusting and if you have a crawling baby do NOT stay in here. The quilts are covered in what looks like poo or blood stains and we had to ask the ‘cleaners’ for new ones but don’t think they will put them back on for you, they will dump them in a pile on the lounge. You get given half the amount of towels you need for the people in the room and the sign says place towels in the shower and they will give you new ones. We had 6 people in our room and had to collect fresh towels from the pool area and they would take ALL 6 and replace it with 3. I don’t understand why a 3 bedroom apartment would have 1 bathroom but the 2 bedroom apartments have 2 bathrooms. We know this as family stayed on the other side and those rooms were slightly better. Our shower was so mouldy and the spa bath is broken, not that I would use it anyway cause I can’t even imagine the crap inside those jets when the entire apartment doesn’t even get cleaned. The shower door doesn’t even close properly ( see pics) so you either let the water pour out on the floor or use hulk strength to slam it shut as it scrapes all the metal. The bathroom door into the bedroom also has to be shut with hulk strength as it also scraped along the floor and gets jammed. Furniture was falling apart, beds, tables, lounges ( see pics) the table leg was about to fall straight off. Basically all the drawers were filled with crap left from the previous person that stayed, maccas coupons, face masks, chocolate and wrappers, a razor. Again I repeat, these apartments do NOT get cleaned. Oh and they give you 2 toilet rolls for a family of 6 and if you pop down to Woolies and buy your own so that you can actually wipe your bum and your family can wipe their bums, don’t leave your packet of toilet rolls near the toilet because the ‘cleaners’ will in fact start taking YOUR own supply of toilet rolls to put on the holders, taking WITH THEM half a roll of toilet paper that wasn’t used. All YOUR own toilet paper. Moving on to the kitchen, the website says fully stocked kitchen but if you were thinking of actually cooking in your oven think again cause 1. You will burn your hands off getting anything out cause there is literally nothing to use and there are also zero trays to actually cook anything on. The website also says fresh tea towels daily but we never had a single new one in 5 days. If you are also thinking you would like the convenience of a private washing machine, don’t bother, it’s broken and not one staff member will tell you and they don’t put a sign on it. There was, however, some tape in the lock section we took a guess that maybe it’s broken or was the tape so it didn’t close shut all the time and go mouldy. Well we opened the laundry liquid drawer and that was full of crap and mould and luckily we thought to run an empty cycle first just to clean it cause our bloody clothes would still be trapped in Canberra now cause it locked shut and never opened again. Also the website says movie channels and the apartments on the other side have them but the 3 bedroom apartments do not, so you’re paying more money for absolutely nothing except an extra ripped and torn up bed. All in all do NOT stay here, it’s not worth your money. Have a look at my pics if you don’t believe what I’m saying. Also watch out for your cars in the under cover carpark if you have a tall car or even a pod cause it will get scratched to the crap house on the roof that also has no signage.

Very run down and in need of an upgrade. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment, it was quite spacious but very tired. The beds were clean and comfortable but the bathroom was very ordinary with a tiny shower, spa bath that didn’t work and for three bedrooms one bathroom is not enough! The dishwasher was falling apart and shelves in the kitchen cupboards broken, not enough cutlery and plates. The heated pool was nice but the gym was closed for maintenance. Overall would not recommend!

Stayed one night. Clean and comfortable although décor slightly dated. Very comfortable bed and quiet location but no doner cover which is my only complaint! Great for a stop over. Safe parking and close to shops with them being only a 10 minute drive away.

Our stay started out so well. Recommended by previously happy customers, we looked forward to a comfortable, relaxed stay. Room spacious and inviting but … carpet not vacuumed, spiders’ webs on insides of windows, no hand towel or bath mat. Toilet roll on its last square of paper. Grounds needing attention, no pool towels on rack and an empty basket next to it so hadn’t been replenished for some time. Signs in gym asked for equipment to be wiped down after use. With what? Underground carpark has an abandoned car gathering copious dust. Almost expected a skeleton to be at driver’s seat perhaps waiting for the continental breakfast? (Had to ask twice.) Love lots of light at night? Curtains/blinds don’t stop the exterior brightness. Appreciate every business has its down days but from reading reviews this is not the exception. No response to email received from owner/manager. Was our stay part of Canberra Central Parklands’ audition for a makeover program?

Had stayed at this motel many times only to find we had been charged almost 50% more for our room on this occasion. Unfortunately the bathroom had a significant amount of mould and the soap dispensers were empty. The iron had to be scrubbed after staining my husbands clothes, while the table, verandahs etc were dirty. This motel is no longer a favourite of ours and is unkept throughout - beware!

The Rooms were decent size and lay out although Rooms appeared not to be cleaned or serviced over our whole stay. One day I did notice that the cleaners did put the red stipe back on the bed in one of the rooms but other than that appeared to be no effort to clean or tidy the rooms. Worst of all I left some personal belongings behind and followed up with a couple hours and was told nothing was handed in and pretty much bad luck. After hearing nothing for a few days and having to follow up my self I was told bad luck, and that Parklands doesn't really care. Was pretty disappointing considering it was just about my travel full wardrobe along with book and other belongings. When dealing with staff I felt more of a burden for enquiring on the whereabouts and what could be done. Very disappointed and will never be staying here again. Not recommended

We have never experienced accommodation like this. Our apartment we were told had just been cleaned but was filthy on inspection. The fridge hadn’t been cleaned/the dishwasher had scraps of food in the bottom/the oven had baked on food in the tray which was full of fat . We complained at the office and they said they would send someone to give the kitchen a good clean and when they did arrive all they did was spend 2 minutes to wipe out the oven. The place had cockroaches running around and one of our Doonas had what looked like blood or chocolate all over it - we left it on the floor for housekeeping and it took them several days before they removed it. Office staff indifferent to everything- lift was filthy and not vacuumed for the 10 days we were there. Way overpriced and very disappointing.

The room was very dirty - the carpet as sticky as a nightclub, and the shower bay just gross. Mould adorned the fridge seal, I didn't bother opening the microwave (which completed the entire "kitchenette"). During my stay the driveway was being repainted resulting in entrances to the rooms being blocked without warning, and trip hazards (power cords and tools) were strewn about without any signage or safety protocols. Half way through my stay the fridge defrosted itself resulting in waking up to a water puddle. A bag of food was left outside my room (including perishables) which I did not order and was not picked up 24 hours later. I didn't see any staff member (other than the contracted driveway painters) at all until I checked out - reception times are much shorter than listed online or in rooms. I would do anything, including cancelling my trip, rather than stay here again.

I've stayed in some dodgy places but none compared to this motel. Booked 3 rooms for a work trip to Canberra thinking we were going to arrive at the Taj Mahal, weren't we sadly mistaken. We arrived in one room to find the "cleaner" had forgotten to pop the toilet seat back on the toilet (which wasn't clean by the way) no biggie, but the rooms were FILTHY! My college actually cleaned all the grime and black stuff off the coffee table with a cloth. The lounge was full of crumbs, ash and cigarette filters. Also stained with some questionable white stuff. The room had a dampness to it. That was only 1 room! The others were full of mould in the showers, around the provided body washes in the shower and the thickest soap scum left on the soap holder and a bathroom light that flickered like you were at some dodge rave party. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR KETTLES! My work mates kettle was full of black mould and grime..it wasn't stained that colour as she could wipe it easily with her finger. The carpets were atrocious in all rooms, damp and smelly, stained with white patches and also the rooms had a thick odour to it. I am not one to worry about where i sleep, as long as i have a clean bed, but even that was questionable. We stayed one night and couldn't deal with it any longer (getting locked in the bathroom and being locked OUT of the bathroom was the final straw) we booked somewhere else where we enjoyed the rest of our trip. Points to the Manager who was lovely, and clearly embarrassed as she had apparently just started working there. But seriously, the level of cleanliness was a joke. Half a star!!!!!

The biggest issue with this place is the housekeeping. They don’t clean the rooms, don’t vacuum or clean windows. Bathroom is an interior and stays wet. Condensation on windows just breads mould. Our room stank of mould BBC and damp. The outside balcony filthy with spiders and dirt. The building site next door starts at 7am so forget sleeping in.
