We visited friends whilst in the Peaks and stopped here for lunch . The view was amazing and the food was great . Perfect for hungry walkers ! There was a boot room for muddy boots and friendly welcome in the bar and restaurant area.

Have been here many times for meals and drinks (good choice of real ales) when out walking in the beautiful Lathkill Dale area. The view from this hill-top pub is almost unsurpassed! Always enjoyed the visit, with a slight blip on the last visit when the rabbit ordered was inedible - the meat was as tough as rubber and my...

We stayed one night after a wedding. On the whole we really enjoyed the Hotel. The service from everyone was great. Our room was small and the decor a bit tired, but it was spotlessly clean. We didn't have a 'view' from our room which made it a bit cheaper. The hotel was very quiet, situated at the end of...

Visited this pub for lunch during the Easter hols - 6 of us. Usual high standard bar food served from counter in eating area. Good value. Get there early if you want to eat in the cosy bar where there is a good range of ales. I like the staff.

Great choices in the bar and restaurant and a good packed lunch when we are out walking. The choices of beers are the best anywhere and...

We eat a bar meal, which was brilliant - beef crumble - generous portions, friendly and obliging staff etc. We ate in the dining room, which was clean, if a little simplistic. The cosy bar, with coal fire was very inviting, but full, otherwise we'd have sat...

We stayed at the Lathkil between Christmas & New Year. It was our third visit and was even better if that's possible. Staff very friendly, the hotel is family run, and Robert serving breakfast was a highlight for us. Food excellent, we had lunch there one day and evening meals each night, you can choose to eat in the bar...

Stayed just the one night recently, but had dinner in the bar twice. As others have said, rooms are quite small, but we didn't find this a problem for two, they're perfectly comfortable, spotlessly clean, wonderfully quiet and our room was at the front overlooking Lathkil Dale. Breakfast was excellent, as were both dinners (Steak and Kidney pie was superb)....
