Be prepared to take your breakfast with you! We had breakfast in the room, one small individual packet of cereal each, one pint of milk, and tea and coffee from the complimentary tray in the room. The cereal bowls were chipped This is the worst breakfast I have ever had to pay for! As we were walking the Cambrian Way... More

We stopped here during our tour of Wales. When we came in, nobody cared for us, the landlady was talking with her regular customers. Then she showed us our room. It smelt damp and it was very humid, the towels were stinking humidity and the room was not clean: the sofa's cover was stained, there were spiders and a grasshopper... More

The pub was OK and I did have the Pork Belly which was very good. Other meals observed, and commented on by other patrons, seemed good value for money. The room was in one of the annexes, a queen bed and some sort of sofa thing with a grubby cover, though I did ask for a twin. Linens and bath... More

On arrival at the Hollybush , we were hopeful that we would have a lovely meal again as we did in 2006 when visiting this area before . However , we could not have been more wrong ! On entry to the bar we were greeted by a musty smell and coal dust stained, sticky tables ... When we went... More

On arrival, the pub looks pretty good, nice & tucked away from main road; nice bar with roaring log fire. Went to the bar to check in around 430pm, we were the only customers there. The bar was covered in dirty glasses, which didnt give a good impression. Asked if we could have fried breakfast in the morning but you... More

Had sunday lunch with friends, very nice with good service from young waitress, but the restaurant is like something out of the 70s, awful curtains,& lots of dirty plastic or silk flowers, horrendous. Such a shame because the location is fab. Needs good going over, just looks dirty& grimy. Also get rid of loud background music. More

Towels seen better days, one even stank! Bed linen fresh and clean. Facilites good but bathroom very very basic - described as luxury on their website - what a laugh! Also the cereals in the room were not replaced for our second night which was typical of the general lack of customer care and nice touches that I've experienced at... More
