Me and my partner stayed at Wild Lubanzi for five nights (far longer than initially planned) We loved it. We stayed in a private double room with an ocean view and although basic, it was comfortable enough and within our backpacker budget. The setting for the lodge is incredible. It is perched on the top of a cliff with an... More

I was already 3 times at the Wild Lubanzi. It is like coming home. Aidan and Rahel created a magic place. Spirit, Soul, real Emotion. A Masterpiece in a stunning surrounding. If you want standard party, go to Coffee Bay. If you search a special place, if you are open minded, then you can not miss the Wild Lubanzi! More

I spent one night at Wild Lubanzi Backpackers Lodge. It is extremely tranquil and away from, well literally everything!! It is the perfect way to escape the craziness that is city life for a few days and just be. I would really reccommend doing the walk from Coffee Bay to Wild Lubanzi and then onwards from there to Bulungula. There... More

I was there while they where still building. There was generally dirty. The kitchen was a mess with a lot of flies in it. The staff would yell at us, answer back, and didn't do as we asked them. But maybe that is why you fell so much at home. I loved it! We got drunk, partied, and had a... More

I've travelled the wild coast several times and this is my new favourite place which we discovered during our summer vacation - a stunning spot: dolphins to view from your balcony, a pristine beach, rock pools, great hikes and really great people - including the owners, other guests, and the local community, we can't recommend this place enough. A truly... More

The warmest and friendliest backpackers we've ever been to. Its 100% owner run and managed by the nicest and most interesting couple. They started about three years ago and have been building the place themselves with the help of volunteering guests. It sits on top of a cliff overlooking the sea in perhaps the most remote village in the whole... More

this backpackers just rocks! we planned to stay for a couple of days only and ended up staying for two weeks... WHY? maybe it was due to the amazing Swiss breakfast bread, the never ending playing of 'dog', the cuddling of 5 kittens, the two gorgeous dogs, the watching of the dolphins/whales passing by or maybe it was just the... I only know the place before it became the backpackers lodge. It's magic. Far from anything we call civilization it's easy to relax and get carried away by the beauty of simpleness and nature. We discussed the possibility of building a hostel in this spot and we loved it. It's a dream come true that they realized it. More
