We intended to stay for 2 days - but stayed for 5. High standard for small town in Crete. Staff very helpful. Lots of rooms with sea views. Quiet. Car park useful. Good base for walking. We would like to return.

Excellent hotel. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious (even the bathroom), facilities are all modern and it is right on the west end of the village, overlooking the sea with unobstructed views.
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the rooms at the side overlooking the smaller bay and beach and the 3 Brothers Taverna. The room was superb and very spacious with a very good modern bathroom and the balcony overlooking the cliffs. Sitting watching the goats scampering about on the vertical cliffs was very good therapy after a day...

A little bit more expensive than the nearby Lefka Ori, but modern and comfortable rooms, huge size and correct breakfast. Room was huge and very clean, nothing to complain and we would definitively return if again at Sfakia. Manager was organising for us a taxi to Anopolis without any problems. Everything in Sfakia is greek lifestyle, so don't be in...

When I am on the island of Crete, I find it very pleasurable and relaxing to stay at Hotel Xenia, on the harbor on the small village of Chora Sfakion. You can actually walk from one end of the harbor to the other in ten minutes. The hotel has very spacious and clean rooms and there is a lift for...

Comfortably located between beach and harbor Xenia successfully exercise power of it's size in direction of achieving most important predispositions to satisfy modern accommodation demands. Everything is wide enough, rooms are comfortable and very well equipped. Beside AC, TV, fridge, personal safe, wireless internet and other "necessities" of today there's hotel parking, nice restaurant, private access to the sea, beach...

My wife and I have stayed at the Xenia pretty regularly - usually twice a year, for the last fifteen years. Despite the owner's ugly extensions to the original building, the essential welcoming nature of the place has not been destroyed.
The reason for this is simple: Giorgo Lykoiannakis, the manager, and his partner Vana make sure that everyone is...

On our recent holiday to Crete, (and being the adventurers we are), we set off from Almyrida to Chorio Sfakion, to do an overnight stay if we liked it.
The town is very small but a really lovely place to visit and the drive over the mountains was great and even stopped off at a Gorge on the way, I...

We found out about this wonderful hotel from people we met on our travels. Through them, we were encouraged to walk the full length of the Samarian Gorge and then stay at Hotel Xenia overnight. At the end of our hike, we took a ferry to beautiful Sfakia, a tiny resort town. We felt as if we had to pinch...
