We stayed here for 5 nights. Corijto is the perfect place to stay when you want to explore the beautiful Andalusia. It is an easy drive to the cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. All within 2 hours drive. This luxury B&B is situated in a old Spanish farm in the middle of nowhere. 5 very big rooms, which are... More

I would love to share my experience of my stay at Cortijgo El Guarda last March. El Guarda is a beautiful Cortijo owned by Hans en Miranda. At my visit I didn`t only enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and my wonderfully decorated room, but even more I want to emphasize the kind and warm attitude of the owners Hans... More

Thanks for your kind words and extensive review. After you left Sam wasn't satisfied anymore with our usual 45min walks, no he wanted the full monty, 2 hours, like with you. Thanks for that :-)) We hope to see you again and may be we will have the opportunity to go parasailing together, at last. More

When planning our trip we decided to stay at a couple of ‘cortijos’ this time. Our first experience just north of Granada was wonderful – a great place with fantastic staff (see review). We left wondering how any place could equal such a standard. But Cortijo El Guarda certainly does. Easy to find once on the 9107 (off the A382)... More

We are always grateful when our guests take the time to write a review as we all know the power of the instrument (and they can be good for ones ego as well....). Some reviews add something extra like descriptions of what-to do or are written in a special way. This one has it all for us, even honestly mentioning... More

From the moment we arrived till the minute we left we were made to feel very welcome by Miranda and Hans who were the perfect hosts throughout our 7 days stay in this beautiful Cortijo which is stylish, elegant and always beautifully presented. We had a superior room which again surpassed our expectations with every little detail perfect for our... More

We have really enjoyed taking care of you and watching the both of you enjoy El Guarda and everything it and its surroundings have to offer. We never had guests before that got up in the middle of the night making photographs of the stars above the Cortijo. Hope we will see the outcome of that exercise one day. Hopefully... More

We have just spent 3 nights at this delightful Cortijo to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We got a little lost trying to find the Cortijo and to enforce the helpfulness of Miranda, she drove out to find us and escort us to our "home" for the next 3 nights. We stayed in room 2, a deluxe room which was... More

We normally don't escort our guests to El Guarda - as we have the local police taking care of that - but in order to be sure that the 20th wedding anniversary is one to remember, we love to go the extra mile (or 3). Thanks for your kind words about El Guarda and us. We are sooooo happy that... More

We can only echo what the previous reviews have said. Simply fantastic. The accomodation and surroundings are 5 star in themselves but what makes the stay are the hosts, Hans and Miranda. Incredibly helpful and charming and nothing is too much trouble. Having stayed in hotels all over the world this is right up there with the best, faultless!

What can we say about guests that don't care about the weather and still jump in the pool when it is around 10C. That go walking with Sam for hours although the rain is pouring and drive back and forward from Arcos to say another time goodbye.... Being hospitable isn't difficult at all. More

The warm welcome by Hans and Miranda and their dog Sam was the start of an unforgettable weeks stay in Cortijo el Guarda. The accommodation is beautifully restored and elegantly decorated and still has modern amenities (good wifi, hot showers, etc). We had a very comfortable and spacious room with a worldclass bed and there was more than enough room... More

You found us amazing, we found you even more amazing. The holiday mood never changed although the weather was disappointing, your 7 months old girl sometimes starting singing at 04.00 am and you could have done with a bit more sleep now and then. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests. Hasta pronto! More

Well, we can imagine that after having cycled through the rain for hours that everything that's dry and warm feels like heaven, but we are happy that we could give you the impression at least. Thanks go to Miranda and Hans for making our final night in Spain so memorable. Cortijo el Guarda is in an idyllic, rural mountain setting like which we had never experienced before in Spain. Dear Sri Lankan friends, It seems to become increasingly difficult to answer to all these kind words, where all we want to do is to enjoy other people enjoying them.
