We stayed at Mugilu during our road trip to Mangalore for a day. The villas are simple yet spacious, ideal for couples and probably small families. The best feature of the villa is the full length glass door that opens in to the balcony for an uninterrupted view of the plantation. Just awesome! This facility has a natural feel with... More

To explore serenity all it takes is less than 5 hours from Bangalore! yes, we spent a good 2 days of our life with nature and were hosted admirably. A must see place! Not just the host but the staff are equally warm and make you feel at home.

The property is set in a piece of heaven. There are fantastic meadows around, a bubbling stream close by and the best part is that it is not too far from Bangalore. It is a great place to visit for a few days. The hosts are quite nice people, warm and friendly and they make yummy meals, nothing fancy. Just... More

Hi Sindhoor, Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We will make sure it does'nt repeat. However, we would like to reiterate that Mugilu is only a homestay set in a plantation & not a resort. Having only three cottages & set away from civilization, the idea is to simply do nothing but relax. Thanks & Hi to Uttam & Nishi. More

We enjoyed our recent stay at Mugilu - everything that previous visitors say rings true. The property is unspoiled and back to nature, Chandan and Sapna are great hosts, the pets, especially Shunti, are adorable. If you would like to a place where the only sounds you hear are birds and crickets, the only illumination at night comes from stars,... More

I visited Sakleshpur to attend my friend's engagement during Feb, 2012. I was looking out for a place to stay and laze out for a day. I spotted this place through web and just decided to give it a try. Right from the booking till my exit from the cottage, I must admit that the hospitality of the owners (... More

Very homely place. Having only 3 cottages and the owner's plan of NOT extending it anymore ensures it remains a homely affair when you go there- especially 3 of your friends/families together. It becomes your own.... The owners always appeared to be one of us and so, we could speak about Bangalore, travel and other common interests... Moreover the friendly... More

It was one of the most memorable holidays with my family. A small homestay with just 3 cottages in a coffee estate, so its not even commercial. Very comfortable cottages and rustic and done with lot of taste, Great view from the room as it overlooks the coffee estate and the beauty of Malnad. The owners Chandan & Sapna Gurukar... More

The place has 3 cottages within a coffee plantation with a beautiful balcony, spacious room, spacious & ventilated bathrooms and a balcony with a mesmerising view. A must see for nature lovers, the host Chandan & Sapna are really wonderful people to spend time with - who take care of you to their best. The employees around are always ready... More

Its a place one could visit repeatedly and not tire. Ideally meant for those who love nature. great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Roads outside bangalore are excellent. Approach to the resort a bit bumpy but quite manageable. Do try your hand at everything....lighting a fire for your bath, wading in the stream getting fish therapy,... More

We got to know of this place from one of my wife's friends. After that I researched a bit, googled around, read reviews and decided that this is the place to go if we want a piece of Malnad. The drive from Bangalore is good too, with the 4 lane Bangalore-Mangalore road (at least for the first 100 kms), making... More
